The hotel is beautiful and very easy to reach, right on the Ring Road. Breakfast is very nice, just like other breakfasts we had around Iceland. The room is large and comfortable and I liked the window/balcony with direct access on the parking There are 2 hot tubs but we did not use them

The concept and design of the hotel is great! Something unusually refreshing - design shop, food court, arcade, nicely designed rooms etc. Location is also great if You like to do sightseeing in golden circle - basically up to - 1 h drive to every known destination. Breakfast is very good and the again the concept is great.

I am biased, as we were in the guesthouse and there was nobody else there, so we ended up having a massive space for ourselves. 4 individual beds were clean and comfy

Probably the best hotel I have ever been to! both the location and the hotel were incredible. We got a room with very nice views. The pool has hot water and is very relaxing after a day of walking. The restaurant is fantastic and not too expensive in comparison to other places in Iceland. We were attended by a really friendly waitress who made our dinner very pleasant and enjoyable. thank you! if I come back to Iceland I will definitely come back

ION was amazing! We loved every part of it from start to finish. The cherry on top was the spa facilities and middle of nowhere scenery. The room was larger than any other room we had during our stay in Iceland (we stay in 4 hotels total). We only had dinner at the on premises restaurant but it was fantastic! It was also the only time we saw the Northern Lights - pure luck!

I saw that the hotel won Best Travelers' Choice in... 2014, and was awarded for its design, but probably only for the outside. Inside, it’s a bit basic, more like a budget chain hotel. Nothing extraordinary for the price. However, because it’s so remote (careful when driving!), it’s an exceptional spot to observe the northern lights!
