Nice location and Philip very helpful. Did pay for room at alternative location when we complained but made us go back to this place for breakfast so disrupted our trip.

Nice country setting amongst campers and golfers. Good kitchen facilities. Very clean cabin. Bedroom up in the loft is very small with bed pushed against the wall so not easy to move around. The ladder is very steep to climb but there is a pull out couch downstairs if needed.

We had a truly wonderful stay at this cabin. What made it truly exceptional was the breathtaking view — every window opens out to stunning natural scenery, creating a peaceful and calming atmosphere throughout the entire space.
The apartment is beautifully maintained and fully equipped with everything you might need for a comfortable stay. From the moment we arrived, we felt completely at home.
The hosts were incredibly kind, always helpful, and easy to reach whenever we had a question.
Slightly quirky, remote town, with an interesting harbour.
Slightly quirky, remote town, with an interesting harbour. A few good places to eat/drink, and plenty to see and do around the surrounding peninsula - national park, hiking volcanoes, whale-watching, and even trying fermented shark. Pretty, colourful houses in town make it a relaxing place to stay too.

Great Town with great Iceland Sights - part of Ring Road trip and glad we made this part of the trip... Take time and do the Snaefellsnes Peninsula - many great sights...called the "mini-Iceland" because of all the things...

Ended up being out of our way on our trip on the ring road due to weather and a change in what we decided to do. Very cute little town with a delicious bakery. Didn't see much of the town really.

Only a couple of hours from Reykjavik but this place feels very much away from it all. The roads in and out aren't the easiest depending on the weather. We visited in early April and got stuck in snow (twice!) on the way in taking the northern road then feared getting stuck due to road closures and difficult driving conditions on the way out but we made it. Because of this we didn't get to see as much as we'd have liked. But we did have excellent takeaway fish and chips from the harbour front at Hafnarvaginn

Small, quiet (at this time of year) but very peaceful and beautiful! We caught our best show of the northern lights here! Also, would highly recommend Narfreyrarstofa for dinner, delicious and great atmosphere!

I loved the small-town vibe and charming Icelandic architecture located on an active harbour. Beautiful ocean views from the harbour-adjacent island walk! Enjoyed soaking at the local pool/hot pots, and happy to have a bakery, grocery store, and restaurants to choose from for meals. I would gladly stay here again, or for more than one night to see some of the local museums which were closed over Easter weekend.

the hotel rooms are very small but we did not expect it to be more than that. The place have dining room and kitchen downstairs which we used for family outstanding dinner! there is big supermarket nearby open from 1000-2000 and the kitchen is well equipped. (the only problem was that you need to wait for others to finish cooking or cook together. we used the washing machine as well for our laundry. the showers and toilet are public but quite clean and close to your rooms. in general, it was one of our best evenings in Iceland...!
Location was superb with great views from inside the cottage and outside as well, close to pretty much anywhere you want to visit or hike in particular. Very quiet and secluded if you prefer it that way. Didn't make use of the hotel as much, but the interactions we had with the owners were very good and they listened to our requests and were prompt to help.
Staff is very helpful. The weather was very bad during my stay. My car door was broken. The hotel staff helped me to phone to car rental company for assistance. He also suggested me to drive in other way to Hotel Akureyri to avoid the road block due to bad weather. The food was good. The room was facing to the sea. There is a small church inside the hotel.
The staff were so wonderful, dinner was delicious, and breakfast was good value for money. Nicely stocked bar with simple stuff.
Rooms were warm and clean, the hotel is pretty and looks traditional, and there are great views of the water and the mountains.
Check in and out were easy and simple.
Modern, clean hotel with amazing views! Gave us a free room upgrade. Breakfast was diverse fresh, with hot and cold options. Short walk into town to see the incredible views from the lighthouse. Great hotel in a gorgeous town!
