The hotel staff were all friendly and warm. It seemed like an old-fashioned hotel, a little far from the center. And there were a few short flights of stairs in the corridors which made it a little difficult to navigate with suitcases, but I guess that's justified for the reasonable price. I was pleasantly surprised at how good a breakfast was provided for the price. There was a wide selection of cheeses, hams, yogurts, fruit, breads and cereals.

An Italian Masterpiece

Best-known for the stunning Duomo, Florence is full of amazing buildings and its historic centre. The Ponte Vecchio, a 14th-century bridge holding a multitude of shops on its edges is a stunning example and provides a truly unforgettable view.

Dig into more of the city’s historical past at the Basilica of Santa Croce, a Franciscan church full of great artwork and the burial place of Italian greats: Michelangelo and Galileo. The Uffizi Gallery is one of the world’s finest art museums and the Pitti Palace is not far behind.

For great dining, the Santa Croce district has countless options and the unique lampredotto is Florentine fast-food with a 1000-year old history. Many consider the local gelato, Italian ice-cream, to be the best in the world.

It’s a very vibrant city and super walkable. The architecture, history, and art is breathtaking. We spent one day at a cooking class about 20 minutes outside of town at a beautiful kitchen and gardens overlooking a Tuscan valley.

    Florence was amazing!

Florence was amazing! So much to see and do and not enough time. My highlights were the Uffizi Gallery where the Birth of Venus is (its even more beautiful in real life), Galleria University where you will see the statue of David (he's bigger than you think!), and all the amazing food choices (The Florentine steak is a must, as is some gelato). We would highly recommend going to Florence for at least a week.

Trips to the Tuscan countryside were the highlights. Chianti Hills and the small towns were fabulous. Florence museums... well, you can't see them anywhere else in the world. Stunning. For food, tap into your guides' local knowledge.... stay away from the restaurants around the main square. They, in general, are terrible.

The hotel's location was perfect for us to enjoy the city. Our room was small, but that was expected. I think paying a little extra to have a room with a view facing the church was worth it. All of the staff were kind. Breakfast was a bit pricier compared to what we paid at other places, but it was good. We visited three other cities after leaving Florence, and this hotel turned out to be the best and our favorite during our trip to Italy!

This is a hidden gem in the hills of Florence, just 15 minutes drive from the city center. Martina and her husband are perfect hosts, gave us the best tips for restaurants (Zocchi) and ice cream (Badiani). The apartment was spacious, well-equipped, and our terrace let no wish unanswered: full view of the Hills of Tuscanny right in front of our eyes. The pool is amazing. We are often in Italy but this was clearly one of the best experiences.

Everything was Fabulous. The Hotel was fresh and alive. All the staff were so friendly and very professional. Fabulous facilities. Rooms were fantastic, the best shower we had in Italy. The common areas were spotless and wonderfully relaxing. The rooftop bar and pool area stunning, with wonderful views (including the Duomo of course) " sipping a prosecco at sunset is a must" Access to Tram and Bus also great.

We came to Italy for our honeymoon. Choosing to stay here was absolutely the best decision. The lush green surroundings, delicious breakfast, and friendly service all left a deep impression on me. The room had exceptionally high ceilings and was very spacious, with elegant classical furniture. If we return to Florence, I will definitely choose to stay here again!
