The hotel and pool were ideal. The bedroom was excellent with a huge bathroom and 2 balconies. Only a short walk to the town. On site parking was a bonus too.
Featuring an outdoor pool, Torre Santamaria offers accommodation in Mattinata, an 8-minute walk from the beach. Complimentary WiFi is provided throughout the property.

Magical!!! So peaceful, calm, uplifting, simple, yet elegant. Set amongst the olive and citrus trees. Unique architecture, blending clean, bauhaus-like design with tradition and eco-awareness. Fantastic friendly staff (Giovanni, etc). LOVED it and hope to return!!
This hotel is immersed in the Gargano National Park, set on a cliff overlooking Zagare Bay and Mergoli Bay beaches.

We stayed at this hotel for the second time, this time with friends. Overall, we enjoyed it — the sea, the beach, and the location were absolutely excellent. However, there were a few minor issues regarding service and comfort.

Most of all, flexibility and kindness of the staff - the air-con in our room was not working. They offered support immediately and after it did not work, they gave us another room with an upgrade.
Breakfast was good, beds were comfortable!

This is a huge resort on the edge of a cliff above the most magical beach in all of southern Italy. The potential of the place is endless.
The beach is amazing, the view is breathtaking, the architecture of the site is charming.
The staff tries to be friendly but the language gap is a hindrance
The breakfast is good, and there is also free parking

The apartment was well equipped
Parking was beside the unit
Wifi was terrible and very unreliable
Not located in the township
A huge complex of units
Glad that we went out of season as
It would be a very noisy place during summer as the apartments are close together

The only way to get here is by car and there really is not much to do in the area. Mattinata is a quaint town with a few eateries which are not that varied. To access the beach again is a drive with parking a problem at times. We went to Vieste for the day but it was a hair raising drive home in the dark. We also went to Monte St. Angelo which again is worth seeing but only a day is needed for here. Manfredino is not a very picturesque area quite industrial in parts. A week is long enough in this area and you will have seen all there is to see. However it is a lovely destination if you are happy to be by the pool for a relaxing break, although it is 2 hours from the airport.

Cozy city on a hill-side.
Cozy city on a hill-side. A couple of good restaurants (with a sea / city overlooking view), make sure you make a reservation to those ones, we were there off-season, and had difficulties having a table...
Main street closed for cars (which is good) during season. Find you parking areas just outside centre (2 min walk), inner city streets are Italian, so it might be easier to park outside centre.

Lovely village having 2 parts: one up on the hill with pretty narrow streets & one down by the seaside, where houses/villas/B&Bs are hidden by an orchid of olive trees. Highly recommended to go only to the restaurants/masserias/trattoria that are on the beach - the menu & quality of the dishes is excellent!

The location was a confortable 5 min walk (woth two small children) from the free (pebble) beach. The sea was wonderful, we hate sandy beaches and the beach of Mattinata was absolutely perfect for us. The house was spotless clean and it's surroundings were beautifully maintained. Nice and safe parking space for our car. Clean bathroom (very important!) and good beds. The communication with the owner was very pleasant.
Very nice B&B, well located (walking distance to center Mattinata and restaurants), beautiful room and bathroom. The host was exceptional. Great breakfast with yoghurt, fruit, good coffee. Every morning the BF was different: we ate good bread with local cheese, mozzarella, tomatoes,... and delicious homemade cakes.
Beautiful terraces to lounge. Parking on-site!
Pietro will treat you as a member of his family and go above and beyond to make your stay a great experience. Should we be able to come back to Mattinata, we know we will have a holiday-home to go back to! Thanks Pietro
Hotel is as described and shown in the photos. The mattress and pillows were really comfy. The hotel is located by a beautiful beach. Worth staying if you want to have relaxing vacation by the sea.
Maria was a great host and provided a really nice breakfast. The ground floor apartment also accomodated our.bicycles. Mattinata is a lovely village with the best restaurants on our trip so far.
