Guest reviewThe hotel is in a real nice, cetral location close to the old town and harbor, rooms are simple but clean. Breakfast was nice, not just sweets as usual in Italy. The bed was comfy and big, the shower cabin was also very nice size.

Kite-shaped Trapani makes an impressive sight from lofty Mount Erice, connected to the peninsula below by cable car. On a clear day, the mountain also offers views of Tunisia - one destination of ferries from Trapani Port, alongside Cagliari, Pantelleria and the offshore Egadi Islands.
Overlooking the port is the old town, where arched doorways on narrow streets open onto many cheap apartments and B&Bs on Booking.com. Shabby chic façades sit alongside historic churches, such as understated Trapani Cathedral, somewhat lost amid elegant Corso Vittorio Emanuele, where pavement cafes sit in front of pastel-coloured buildings and metal balconies.
At the tip of the peninsula is the fortress-like Tower of Ligny lighthouse, now housing the Prehistory and Sea Museum. The Colombaia Castle protects the port from an island to the south, while in the other direction the sweeping coastline passes some beachfront hotels with swimming pools.
Villa Margherita Park offers shade from the Mediterranean sun, and Triton’s Fountain graces a neighbouring square. The simple façade of the Basilica of Maria Santissima Annunziata hides the treasures within, including a statue of the Madonna of Trapani which is at the heart of the Easter ‘Misteri’ celebrations.
Between the city and Trapani-Birgi Airport, historic windmills sit beside salt pans. The Salt Museum provides details of this major industry.

Trapani is not very clean city, there is rubbish everywhere.

We had no expectations but found this town delightful.
We had no expectations but found this town delightful. We went there for 3 nights inbetween the busy town of Palermo and the relaxed resort on the island of Favignana. Easy to walk around it. Plenty of good restaurants, gelateries and fresh fruit juiceries and cafes. Lovely walks along sea promenades. Excellent restaurants near fish market. Very close to everything - beach, food, drinks, bus, ferry etc. Bonus option was we were able to store our luggage for free and a ground floor bathroom shower was available. We did not use the hot tub as it wasn't operational and there was very little shade for my wife. Biggest bonus was Simona the manager made the stay exceptional with her friendliness and knowledge, we had the best meal of our Sicily trip from her recommendation. There is free parking just around the block and paid parking right in front of the hotel. It is a good base for exploring around West of Sicily.
