A beautiful city with lots to see and do.
A beautiful city with lots to see and do. You could eat cheap or expensive. The public transport network via the water ferries is easy to navigate. We had an amazing meal at Al Vechio Forno and did a trip to the Doge's Palace and St Mark's Basilica which was worth it.

Well organised visting to Doge's Palace. St. Mark church visit top expensive, due to cascade's paymant. Horrible rip off.
However the old town is absoluty unusual. Water tram works very well, but the price for non-citizens is discriminatory.

This is year of Jubilee this year and the entire place was a zoo of people. Far to crowed for us however we loved our time here. This year was very hot for us with high humidity. We found out how to tour by touring in the morning and resting after a late lunch in the coolness of our lodging then starting up early evening with a great meal on a canal and strolling in the evening or riding the vaporetto through the city.

A great place to visit, but take plenty of money.
Hard Rock cafe is a great place to eat, just off St Marks Square.
St. Mark's Basilica is worth visiting, but purchase the skip the line ticket otherwise you have a long wait.
Purchase a Vaporetto Pass it will save you a fortune.

Venice is a great city.
Venice is a great city. The location of this villa is out of the chaos of St. Mark’s Square but has lots of restaurants around it. The water taxi was right in front so going into the main area was never a problem. The managers of the property were very helpful in setting up transportation both from the train station and to the airport. The property was very clean, kitchen well stocked and comfortable.

Mostly the value for money in a place like Venice. It's far from the most luxurious place you'll stay in and it's also a decent walk to the main attractions, but you really do get what you pay for. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom served it's purpose, although the shower was a bit small. Hot water was consistent the whole time which is a huge bonus for budget hotels in Italy. The artwork on the walls was a nice touch too. A great place to stay if you're on a budget and don't mind walking a bit.

Casa Pusterla was the best choice of our visit in Venice. the apartment is spacious and fully equipped with everything one may need. it is located a few steps from the Bianalle in the loveliest quiet neighbourhood. The hosts Flavia and Marco waited for us at the vaporeto station and provided all the necessary information. better than any 5 stars hotel (as far as we are concerned)
