Great one bedroom apartment. Barbara met us outside on arrival. A fridge full of goodies and a delicious bottle of wine. So close to the square on the waterfront. Barbara was very helpful on any questions about cinque terre. A fabulous stay.

No breakfast No help with any normal problems - eg The tv suddenly stopped - after one hour only. I phoned the owner and cleaning lady … The owner was afraid it would cost MONEY / a technician. But it was obviously just a minor problem and it CAME ON BY itself when I was leaving. The owner wouldn’t answer phone - except to abuse me and say - when I had a full day of $152 euros remaining ‘IF YOU DON’T like it you can leave’ - and she said I would have to pay for ‘broken tv’!!! No service of any kind. Misrepresentation and lies. I’ve travelled the world - rudest host by far. Unbelievable Just one person - the cleaning lady - who often was told not to answer phone.

Overall we enjoyed our 2night stay in Vernazza. The location was perfect and off the main strip. The host was friendly and rooms and beds were clean and comfortable. The cave-live bathroom was charming.
Vernazza is the perfect spot. It's not too hilly and the square is beautiful. There are several restaurants and cafes as well as shops. It was by far the easiest town to get to from the rail station.

Loved the vibe of this town!
Loved the vibe of this town! It was chill, different than Monterosso in that it's not a hardcore beach town, different than Corniglia in that it's not as low-key, different than Riomaggiorie in that it's not as commercialized, different than Manarola but don't have a specific on how. It feels like one of the smaller towns. But it was AWESOME.

Vernazza was cute and charming.
Vernazza was cute and charming. You can swim in the harbor, but it is quite small. I imagine it could get quite crowded and a hot summer day.
If you wanted to experience beach time would recommend staying at or planning a day at Monterosso.

Probably the most scenic village of the Cinque Terre.
Probably the most scenic village of the Cinque Terre. The heart of the town is just a few minutes walk downhill from the train station. There were plenty of shops and restaurants. We preferred eating outdoors down by the harbor area. The hiking trails to Monterosso and Corniglia are marked with small signs. You need to either have a hiking card or a train card in order to access the famous Vernazza overlook.

Vernazza is beautiful but very small .
Vernazza is beautiful but very small . Unless you are walking the trails of the cinque Terre there isn’t a lot to do
The train station is very good with access to all the other towns in less than 15 min

We spent 3 nights in Vernazza and that was a perfect amount of time. Unfortunately, it rained the whole time we were there, but there is enough to do in the area. We explored several of the other towns in Cinque Terre and hiked a little bit when it wasn’t raining. We definitely want to come back to the area to hike some more. It is beautiful!

I instantly fell in love with this stay even before visiting it, found a sea facing room available and booked it immediately.Trust me the views were amazing and was totally worth it.This was my second favorite place and will definitely visit back for more of Cinque Terre.Lorenzo and Paula were really sweet and helpful and also got assistance with my baggage. It is in a very good location walking distance to the train station and also the trails.Vernazza is a beautiful town and enjoyed walking around with so many pretty viewpoints
Vernazza is probably the most beautiful of Cinque Terre and La Scala is in the heart of it, very close to the beach and the central street. The apartment is very comfortable equipped for everything needed for a short stay. We really enjoyed our two days there and we now miss everything about it (even the 64 steps leading there)!
the hotel is in a great location and although there are steps to get there (like everywhere in cinque terre) its not that bad and the owners help you with luggage. The rooms have modern facilities, good showers and a really comfortable bed/pillows.
Absolutely fantastic location just one minute away from the Vernazza train station. Rooms were basic but very clean and the hotel has a pleasant ambiance. We shared a bathroom with another room or two and didn't have any problems.
