I stayed here from May 20th to 23rd, and after checking out on the last day, I realized that I had thrown my Narita Express ticket in the trash can in the hotel room. I went back to the hotel and asked, and even though the cleaning was already done, they tried to find the ticket and eventually found it in the trash can. I was so grateful and touched by the kindness of the staff. I highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel is conveniently located just a 5-minute walk from Kannai Station, making it easy to get around Yokohama.
We loved having Komeda Cafe and Saizeriya next door, with Sukiya just across the street—plenty of dining options right at our doorstep.
Check-in was smooth, and the receptionist spoke English, which was helpful.
Our room on the 10th floor (the highest level) was spacious, with a standard double bed, a small table, and a sofa.
There was enough space to open our luggage comfortably.
Bathroom was roomy, and all amenities could be picked up at the reception area.
The hotel maintains the consistent standard we’ve come to expect from Daiwa Roynet Hotels across Japan

We found Yokohama a delightful city with many attractions to visit. We made us of the bus, train and taxis and were able to travel around the city easily. Yokohama has a much more open feeling about it especially with the beautiful gardens in the waterfront area.

Any water view is beautiful, and Yokohama has plenty!
Any water view is beautiful, and Yokohama has plenty! It is so relaxing. Take a stroll along the waterfront in Yamashita Park where the gardens are enchanting. The flowers were so pretty and there are plenty of benches.
There are a lot of coffee shops and places to get ice cream.
The World Porters mall has several nice stores with unique Japanese items like fingertip towels, bags and wind chimes. There are a few inexpensive restaurants on the eighth floor. You could have a beer and a window seat for about eight dollars.
So, I did it "on the cheap", but still had a nice time.
You can use the MM subway line if you don't want to walk. I went from my room in Shibuya to right in front of my hotel without getting off the train.

Yokohama surprised me—not with big, dramatic moments, but with quiet beauty and a sense of calm I didn’t know I needed. It’s the kind of city that welcomes you gently and leaves you wanting more.
Some of my favourite spots? Yamashita Park at sunset was pure peace, with the sea breeze and skyline setting the mood. I also loved Minato Mirai—especially the view from the Cosmo Clock Ferris wheel. And strolling through Sankeien Garden felt like stepping into a painting; it’s a hidden gem I’d happily return to.
We ate our way through Chinatown, sampling dumplings, buns, and spicy noodles—it was vibrant and full of character. For a slower pace, we enjoyed coffee and pastries at a small café tucked inside the English Rose Garden—a peaceful spot surrounded by blooms, where time seemed to slow down just enough for a proper pause.
Getting around was easy. The Minatomirai Line and JR lines are well-connected, and many places were walkable once we got to the right area. It’s a very tourist-friendly city.
What would I skip next time? Probably the Red Brick Warehouse on a weekend—it was packed and felt a little too commercial. Beautiful, but better enjoyed on a quieter day.
Yokohama may not shout for attention, but it whispers to the soul—and that’s why I’d go back.

Wonderful city with lots of outdoor spaces and parks to enjoy. Lots of excellent shopping areas without the crowds of Tokyo. Easy to walk to different attractions. Ramen Museum and Sankeien Garden are must! Only 40 minute train ride to Tokyo or Haneda Airport. Hotel rooms are much cheaper than in Tokyo. Lovely day trip but even better to spend a few nights in this lovely city!

Loved my evening wandering around Chinatown and finding tasty and affordable items for dinner rather than an expensive restaurant. Everyone I met were friendly and helpful, one lady even pointed me to a 24hr supermarket that had everything I needed and more.
I spent my morning enjoying coffee and donuts with little pigs (yes pigs) at MiPig Cafe and then walked through the city to the Cup Noodles Museum which is well worth a visit.
Would have liked to stay another couple of days as there is so much to see and do.

The Minatomirai area of Yokohama is built on a reclaimed land. It is mainly a commercial area but entertainment and shopping complexes have sprung up in recent years. The meals are on higher end but if you go in to one of the malls (Mark IS, World Porters, etc) there are reasonable choices. There's more concrete than nature but the bayside is within 15 minutes walk. The weekends can be a bit too crowded as it is becoming a touristy area with traffic jams and no availability for parking. This has particularly worsened recently due to the establishments of large concert arenas without much dedicated pedestrian bridges thus the vehicles get blocked for a while when the concertgoers are crossing the road. Therefore, the usage of the public transportation (trains and buses) is highly recommended. The entire district feels spacious as the roads are wider than in most parts of Yokohama and Tokyo. The area is quite cosmopolitan with a China Town nearby. There are not many cultural or historical spots (such as shrines, temples, traditional shops, etc) in this area except for some port related buildings.

This hotel was elegant in a great location with marvellous views. The staff were charming, helpful and nothing was too much trouble. I especially liked the attention to detail eg an empty mini fridge enabling me to refrigerate my purchases. In addition the access to laundry facilities was an additional and greatly appreciated service. A great surprise in a 5 star hotel. The rooms were large (for Japan) well appointed, with every amenity you could wish for.
Great value, the hotel was extremely clean and had a great view of Yokohama bay. The room was decently large by Japanese standards. The Family Mart inside the hotel was a huge plus as I went in winter and it was a little cold outside at night. The hotel was only a few block from the train station as well as many attractions and great places to eat.
Very nice and cozy hotel. Near Yokohama station. can walk in 2-3 mins, have mart adjacent with hotel.
Room was modern, clean and functional. We choose deluxe room for compatible with our luggage and more space in a room. More convenient are separate shower and toilet and easy to check-in/out by yourself.
Surrounding area are mainly office buildings and there are many eateries, convenient marts etc
Shin Yokohama station is convenient to get around to other nearby areas
The staff is very helpful
The room is bigger than usual Japanese hotels
Nice amenities for ladies
