Our stay at Hotel De Andros was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warmth and generosity - we were allowed to check in early after a very early flight, which was such a relief. The manager truly went above and beyond. He personally helped us arrange visits to some of Europe’s oldest olive trees and the atmospheric ruins of Stari Bar. The layers of Balkan history - mosques, synagogues, and churches standing side by side always leave such a deep impression. We ate at a quaint outdoor tavern called Kaldrma which was delicious. We then visited Ulcinj and the Women’s Beach with its mystical sulfur springs. We had a drink at the gorgeous Higo Restaurant & Lounge perched above the sea. Hotel De Andros was the perfect base for all of this- ideally located, peaceful, and full of character. One of the absolute highlights was dinner at the hotel’s own restaurant - without exaggeration, it was one of the best meals of our lives. We tried four very different dishes, and each one was absolute perfection. We’re still talking about it!!! And the waiters were just the best - warm, attentive, and genuinely passionate about the food and service. The next morning we took a boat tour of Lake Skadar, organised directly through the hotel - and it was absolutely magical. While the pricing is on par with other private tour operators, this felt like a far more tailored and enriching experience. The captain was incredibly friendly and deeply knowledgeable about the lake’s history, wildlife, and surrounding villages. It was a serene, unforgettable morning - I highly recommend booking this experience through the hotel itself. Though we didn’t have time to try the rooftop pool, it looked stunning - with panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. In every respect - beautiful staff, location, facilities - this hotel is a standout. I genuinely can’t recommend it highly enough. Our only regret is not staying longer. Love, love, love !!!

This is just the nicest traditional place, at the very entrance of Virpazar (Virpazar is very small, so you're anyway never far from places, but this is literally on the doorstep off the bus as well as most departure points for lake tours). The place is a local legend - its original owners were the people who started tourism in Virpazar. Excellent breakfast, lovely service and attentive staff who are happy to provide you with hints & tips about local activities, especially those a bit off the beaten path. The wifi was also quite good (not that I particularly needed it, but a nice plus). The rooms are quite basic but with all the amenities (including AC and a fridge, a massive bonus).

The location was good, just up the hill from the bridge and overall I enjoyed staying there. It was easy to check in although the lady did not speak much English so there was little communication. There is a small kitchen with kettle and a fridge. Nice spot to sit outside the room. It was inexpensive. I did the Kingfisher boat trip on the lake that they run and it was wonderful: a memorable experience.

Everything!!! The food was awesome, and the place was beautiful! The host was super friendly and even gave us a platter of local goodies for dinner since we got there late. Highly recommend this spot, and we’ll be back! Ah … they make wine and is really good !!😊😊

It is the most incredible place a short drive from Lake Skadar, so peaceful, and with wonderful views, and all set in a traditional Montenegrin farmhouse. But it's the hosts, Ivo and Jelena, that the make it absolutely magical - their generosity and warmth are outstanding and we felt like 'family' while staying there. We so enjoyed their food, both at breakfast and dinner, which was mostly sourced from their garden, not forgetting the delicious wine from their vineyard and the lively conversations. Our thanks to all the family for a perfect stay.

Very spacious and well equipped apartment. Nice decor and in a good location with views over the village of Virpazar and the surrounding mountains.

The cottage was fantastic with amazing views right from the bed. The location is ideal for heading into Virpazar and secluded enough atop the vineyard to be incredibly relaxing. Marko was exceptional and literally nothing was too much effort. The evening boat tour of Lake Skadar was very special and an experience we will always remember. His recommendations for exploring the area were perfect. Thank you very much Marko
