We enjoyed everything! A lovely countryside hotel with a warm atmosphere. Huge thanks to the receptionist for upgrading our room – it was a very kind gesture. All the staff were exceptionally friendly. The rooftop restaurant offers great views and the breakfasts were fresh and delicious.

We enjoyed our three night stay at the Hotel Pelikan. Despite being located in a busy section of town, our room was surprisingly quiet despite the outside noise. Our room was small, basic and matched the pictures online plus comfortable and clean. Check in/out was smooth and easy, which included a welcome drink. Free street parking is available but can be crowded at times (although we always found a spot). The wifi connection was spotty. The breakfast was good with varied menu choices.
Despite what's mentioned in other reviews we were asked but not pressured to book a boat tour. We elected not to which was fine with the hotel staff.
Studio and winery Kalimut enjoys a location in Virpazar, 2.1 miles from Lake Skadar and 18 miles from Port of Bar. This country house offers air-conditioned accommodations with a balcony.

Friendly, generous and welcoming host. Lovely apartment comfortable, clean, quiet, peaceful.
Our host cooked us an exceptional meal and we enjoyed their lovely wine and cherry brandy. Off street parking was good too. Would highly recommend.

Perfect location to visit Virpazar! It is in the heart of the town but still very quiet.
The hosts were very friendly and kind. I got a small injury when I arrived in town and they helped me by calling a taxi for me and making sure I was okay

The location was excellent, amazing views. Lovely apartment, the owners were so helpful and friendly.
Our evening meal of fish from the lake was just so good. Wine from their vineyard what more can you ask for. We had a three hour boat trip organised by the hotel on their boat. It was a private tour covering what we wanted to see, excellent value. Cheaper than in town and much better service.
We can't recommend a stay here enough. Our Breakfast was cooked fresh and lovely pepper sauce made fresh, wow.
We just loved our stay.
Very good value.

Gorgeous views over the valley from a large furnished terraza where you can sit and watch the sunset accompanied by a symphony of birdsong. The suite looks brand new and is finished with high-end products. The nicest place we’ve stayed in our month in Europe so far. Marko is an amazing host and he is easily reachable by WhatsApp in case you are like us and get delayed in your arrival. The cottage was immaculate, the bed comfortable with nice smooth soft sheets/duvet(I’m a bit of bedding fanatic), the bath was roomy and plenty of hot water and water pressure. Marko was so kind, despite our late arrival, to invite us into his cellar to try his wine. He also did a boat tour for us. The room is even nicer(and much larger) than it appears in the photos.

The Lux was a very spacious and comfortable apartment on the river in Lake Skadar. The host was a delight to work with and offered and coordinated great tour options during my stay. The Wi-Fi was consistent and the water pressure was strong. Great space for larger group of travelers. Could easily sleep 6.

Aggressive boat trip sales people.
Aggressive boat trip sales people. Knocked on window as we were driving through. We were booked to do a boat tour and ended up cancelling in favour of a private boat tour by Apartments Pajovic instead.

We did not stay in Virpazar but walked there about 8 km from our village (Seoca). For (part of) the back trip we arranged a boat bringing us back to our closest beach, like a taxi, for a price much less than a regular boat tour. Retrospectively, this was a good idea.

Cute little town centered around boat tours of the National Park. That tour was certainly the highlight of our stay, so I can understand why so many people come into town for day trips, but we loved staying in town for the night.
A sunset boat trip is absolutely the best way to time to see the National Park, and we had an exceptional dinner and wine tasting at Besac Heritage Center.
Everything is walkable and the town had a great, relaxed energy overall. 1-2 nights here is plenty of time, but certainly worth the stop!

Virpazar is known for Skadar Lake and it did not disappoint us. The stay was little away from city and set in the middle of the nature. Virpazar is charming small town having all essential facilities. Our host arranged the boat tour for us starting from the lovely point away from crowd. Lake skadar is PURE NATURE.

The drive up to Virpazar is on narrow, windy roads with few passing places. You need to be a calm, confident driver.
The property is situated in a quiet hamlet, very scenic, a stony beach by the lake where you can swim is around an hour’s walk or a quick drive. The hosts are extremely friendly and helpful, serving tasty, wholesome home grown meals at a reasonable price.
One bedroom of our accommodation had air conditioning, the other didn’t, rather warm at night.

The most favourite spot was the acommodation itself, his hospitality and the lake itself. I ate in a reastaurant, in the house and on the beech.
Everywhere was perfect and delicious.
It is easy to get to Virpazar, both from Sutomore and Podgorica.
There is nothing to avoid, everything was great.

Apartment was extremely clean and beautifully decorated, very spacious, containing everything you need for short as well as longer stay, located in the best part of Virpazar
Sara was welcoming and polite host, and as a local, she can offer best recommendations, not only about and what to do and visit while in Virpazar, but also when it comes to Montenegro in general
She can also assist you and easily arrange various activities, one of which was memorable boat ride on the lake, that everyone needs to experience

The cottage was fantastic with amazing views right from the bed. The location is ideal for heading into Virpazar and secluded enough atop the vineyard to be incredibly relaxing.
Marko was exceptional and literally nothing was too much effort. The evening boat tour of Lake Skadar was very special and an experience we will always remember. His recommendations for exploring the area were perfect.
Thank you very much Marko

There's not a lot going on at Virpazar, but I specifically wanted to stay here for easy access to the lake (about a 15-20 min walk away) and the railway (about a 5 min walk away).
There's nothing not to like about the accommodation, it's first class. Spacious, clean, tidy, comfortable. I can't think of anything you would need that it hasn't got. It even includes breakfast!
The hosts are friendly and helpful.

It was a wonderful experience staying at Miona. The host Sava and his family were very welcoming. We stayed for 2 nights. The rooms were good, clean with a nice view of the mountains.
Tye highlight of the stay was the food cooked by Sava's mother. We had breakfast and dinner at the property and I must say it was the best food I had in Virpazar. Highly recommend it.

If you’re considering booking this place, just do it RIGHT NOW. The hospitality of this family was truly unmatched - drinks on arrival, a stocked fridge of different home-made liquor, option to go out for a boat ride and the best part of our stay in Virpazar was the dinner cooked for us. If we’re ever back in Montenegro, we know where we’re staying.
