Location of the hotel is central, walkable to almost all places you’d want to visit on the island. There’s lotsa convenience stores, market nearby. The staffs are welcoming and helpful. Rental of Macau card for public transportation is available from the hotel. Upon check in, you’ll be given some voucher to access to rooftop, unfortunately it was raining every evening while we were there so the bar was closed. Room was spacious enough for 3 to stay, dyson hair dryer and nespresso machine are provided which are such essential to my family! However sound proof system not at optimum, we could hear noise outside during the night. Other than that, everything was perfect during our stay! We will definitely choose Hotel S again the next time we visit Macau😊

FAQs about hotels in Macau

Developing on History

Macau is the true east meets west philosophy. Buddhist temples coexist with Baroque churches, peaceful oriental parks are overshadowed by mega-casinos and cobblestone streets are filled with rickshaws.

Hong Kong’s neighbour across the Pearl River strait consists of the mainland that borders the People's Republic of China and 2 major islands joined by the Cotai Strip. Coloane island is a natural wonderland with its mountains and beaches, whereas Taipa includes Macau International Airport and residential suburbs.

The prominent Macau Tower dominates the skyline of this former Portuguese colony and denotes the coming of age of modern-day Macau. It has set the stage for an economic boom with Vegas-style casinos lining the Macau Peninsula waterfront.

Historic sites and cuisine are important factors in this shining tourism star of China. St. Paul’s Cathedral was the largest Catholic church in Asia at the time with its ruins dating back to the 16th century. The fusion of Mediterranean flavours and traditional Chinese cooking methods makes eating out in the capital an unforgettable experience.

You are sure to find a hotel to fit your budget on Booking.com. There are 5-star beachside hotels, business accommodation and mid-range hotels for all types of travellers.

Macau is (to most people) an overlooked city in the world. It is a totally unique place with both a European and Chinese feel. It is a city of high contrast and so easy to get around by foot. There is something to see and experience around every corner. It has a compelling charm that few cities have anymore. And its very best casino resorts put Las Vegas to shame.

A lovely, relaxing place to visit which is full of history.

A lovely, relaxing place to visit which is full of history. The Leal Senado, opposite the main square, has a good tourist shop with very good prices. Don’t miss the Old Protestant cemetery - so full of history and well maintained. If you have 2 days there catch the bus over to Coloane - you need patacas and no change given -and go to Fernando’s Restaurant, a Macau institition, for pork and clams and other such delicacies. It is the last stop on the 36A route and to the right of the group of restaurants there- no obvious name but easy to find. The garden is nice for a drink if you are in no rush, but spray before as the mossies like it too! Don’t go on the 36 as it doubles the time to get there.

I visited Macau while staying in Hong Kong. Hong Kong is busy, bustling, and crowded. Macau is the opposite. Yes, there are lots of people, and buildings, and traffic, but it's a totally different vibe. Very chill.

Jason at Reception arranged a free upgrade to a Premium Suite and we checked in early as the Suite was ready . Jason from Reception was also extremely helpful, and caring. And we also had a fruit basket and a Snack box for our Welcome gift from Manager Dean Wan. The hotel location was great close to Fisherman's Wharf and the Ferry Terminal. Also there were free shuttle buses to Cotai Strip and to the Border to Zhuhai. Chris from Concierge was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. He helped us plan our daily trips around Macau.

Hotel Sintra was in the perfect location in the City centre and just a short walk to most of Macau landmarks.. The premises has aged well but our Deluxe Grand Twin room was very large with super comfortable beds. The buffet breakfast offered to the paying patron was fantastic. A good, fresh selection of western and Chinese breakfast.
