We traveled in Jan therefore the weather was perfect.
We traveled in Jan therefore the weather was perfect. Nature is amazing and the temperature as well. The city of Volcan services the needs of the habitats. Streets are wide and new, clean, no traffic. Restaurants close at 7pm. Choices are v limited. Very. Thought Volcan is just an hour’s drive from Boquette, the layout was completely different. The place is extremely spread out, it reminded me of the United States - the distances are hard to walk and there is very little activity in town (town being the main road and and a few fenced areas, really). When I visited, all the public hiking trails were closed, so I cannot judge the qualities of the forest too profoundly. Volcan is more of a rural community , space out in the business direct, if you drive around and look it is a very interesting town, the different style home drew my attention, Most homes are very colorful with the generous use of flowers and flowering shrubs. The lack of zoning control could be a problem, as animals and hens were to be found here and there in the resident area, but the live and let live, was wonderful.
