Good guy running the shop. I arrived late after a long bus ride from Cebu and he was kind enough to drive me to the only shop still open for food and also to the ferry wharf the next day. Great little place to spend the night

I only stayed here overnight before getting the ferry from Maya Port, and the accommodation suited my needs perfectly. The owners are really lovely and even dropped me to the port in the morning (though it would have been a short walk so the location is perfect).
The room was basic but still very clean, spacious, with good AC and has all I needed for the night.

Lovely hotel and with friendly staff!
We also booked diving with Sea Explorer's this dive shop is in the sister hotel Ocean Vida Beach. The big advantage is that the hotel Buena Vida Resort and Spa is much quiter and just food walk of 3min from beach. Combined with diving I would highly recommend to book by Sea Explorer's! Breakfast is at the beach front with amazing with in Ocean Vida Beach.
If you go to Malapascua just book this combination!

Review for Malapascua Island: Perfect for diving (thresher sharks) and snorkeling, otherwise not much to do there. Recommendation - compare prices for fun dives at different dive shops, some are very pricy.
The north beach was a disapointment - some smaller sections of the beach are cleaned, others very dirty and smelling like rotten animals. Not much to see in the water while snorkeling there.
