We ate dinner at the Cowboy Grill, which was great fun and hearty food. Staff were great, too. You'll love the decor--especially if you approve of the 2nd amendment!🥳
The town seems to have lots of fun restaurants etc. Sorry we only had one night there.

The last time we stayed near Yellowstone, we rented a place in West Yellowstone. West Yellowstone is too touristy and overpriced. Gardiner was a welcome relief, and the location is much closer to Mammoth Hot Springs and the North entrance to the Park. The Northern entrance is much closer to the wildlife in Lamar Valley, and during winter the only accessible road to Yellowstone is the Northern route from Gardiner to Cooke City.

Gardiner is a small town and very walkable.
Gardiner is a small town and very walkable. Great after a long car ride sightseeing in the park. The couple of restaurants we tried were good. The Yellowstone Perk, great coffee and breakfast sandwiches. Service was warm and friendly. Dinner at Wonderland Cafe, twice. Good options excellent and service good. Definitely need a reservation. Watch out out for the wondering elk in town.

most of the restaurants shut down for off season. The food at the Cowboy's Grill was horrible and made my husband sick. Like they never cleaned their grill. Were very disappointed. The waitress was nice. The wildlife viewing in Gardiner was amazing. When we woke up in the morning there were elk all around our room and in the neighborhood. Loved the Yellowstone Hot Springs at Gardiner.

We visited the last week of their travel season in September so many restaurants and businesses had already closed, others were running low on items so menus were limited to a few items. Gardiner, however is a great area to see wildlife with easy entry into the northern part of Yellowstone National Park. I would certainly recommend, however might consider a different week if you’re looking to enjoy fully all they have to offer before the season ends.

Small town atmosphere with elk occasionally wandering the streets. Lots of restaurants but some were not great. The one that was recommended was packed on a Sunday night so we did not get to try it. Some shops to wander into. Fast way to get into Yellowstone and a more interesting drive than from West Yellowstone.

Spent a wonderful four nights here on the banks of Yellowstone River over Xmas. Great views, cosy & perfectly located....a 10min drive to Gardiner and the Park's north entrance. Host was magnificent and communication was great. The property has fully functioning WiFi despite information to the contrary on booking.com.
Really, an experience we'll never forget. Helped in no small way of course, that we were able to stay at this beautiful property. Thank you!
The cabins were fabulous, the owners have thought of literally everything! They were extremely comfortable, had all the amenities you could possible want for an overnight stay, wish we could have stayed longer.
Hotel is located quite peaceful. Facing the magnificent mountains, it is very beautiful to enjoy of stay. Staffs are kind and helpful. The bed is confortable for sleep.
