Exploring Los Angeles, the place where movies are made, you feel like you’re in a dream. Santa Monica Pier is the end point of the fabled Route 66, while just south is bohemian Venice Beach, lined by tall, swaying palms. Go slightly inland from the boardwalk to catch a glimpse of the canals that earned the area its name.
Head north to the golden beach and stunning scenery of Malibu and see why movie stars over the decades have settled here. Also popular with the rich and famous are Bel Air and Beverly Hills, home to exclusive Rodeo Drive.
And the reason for all this glitz and glamour? Hollywood, of course! Sitting high on a hill, the iconic sign is visible for miles around, while below the gold stars on Hollywood Boulevard immortalize celebrities of past and present. Be there on premiere night to see them grace the red carpet of Grauman’s Chinese Theater.
Over the hill is Universal Studios, with behind-the-scenes tours as well as rides. Next door are the Warner Brothers Studios, and Paramount Studios are closer to Downtown LA.
Whether you decide to live like a star in a luxury LA hotel or choose a cheap motel through Booking.com, it’s worth renting a car to get around this sprawling city and out to Los Angeles Airport (LAX).
WORST, nothing worth to mention. I paid extra for a privileged room, I was given the basic room with torn out and un cleaned towels, disgusting!.
It’s neither an apartment nor a hotel room, it’s a room in a privet building without any facilities and customer service.
No house keeping done in 4 days.
On my complaint on first day, I was promised a privileged room next day, no one turned out till we vacated after 4 nights.
I felt cheated and advise other travellers to not to opt this accommodation.

It was great to see the sites but not a place I would go back to. Venice Beach was really run down and full of homeless and drugs. It felt intimidating and then a car ran into me in the main car park and clearly the driver was under the influence of something. Holly wood sign good to see.

Pros:
Pros:
• Griffith Observatory - beautiful views of the city and Hollywood sign
• Venice - nice beach scene and canals. Great options for Italian food.
• Santa Monica - a part of town that is as cool as people make it seem.
• Movie set tours - Warner Bros tour and Universal Studios are amazing.
• Lots of museums and attractions in the city: Getty Museum, California Science center, Hollywood Walk of Fame (although this one is just something you cross off your bucket list…it’s not that spectacular).
Cons:
• Do not take the metro…get a car or uber.
• It’s an expensive city.
• Everything is quite spread out so it’s hard to get a lot of things into one day. You have to really plan things out.

It is a kind of city everyone should go once in life, although nowadays there are too many people living on streets and it is too dark at night.
Take the subway at night and the bus during the day.
Griffin Observatory is a must see.

Los Angeles offers a vibrant mix of culture, food, and entertainment. I especially enjoyed visiting Griffith Observatory for the stunning city views and exploring the Getty Center for its incredible art and architecture. I ate at Grand Central Market, which had an amazing variety of local and international cuisine—definitely try Eggslut or Tacos Tumbras a Tomas. Getting around L.A. can be tricky without a car, but ride-shares and the metro system make it manageable. For solo travellers, I recommend walking tours in downtown, visiting museums, and enjoying some quiet time at the Santa Monica beach—it’s easy to meet people and feel safe while exploring alone.

We loved Los Angeles.
We loved Los Angeles. There are many interesting places at Hollywood and Beverly hills area, as well as the coast. There very nice beaches in Santa Monica such as Mahattan and Venice. If we have to picked one, we loved Manhattan beach, great environmental :)

It was located along Sunset Boulevard which connects Hollywood and Beverly Hills, the two key places of interest.
Parking is relatively cheap in this hotel at USD29 per night and the hotel provides complimentary breakfast. The waffles were made hot and fresh on the spot and they were exceptional.
Menu changes everyday but largely revolves around eggs, ham, hash browns, prepared differently.
The staff were amazingly friendly and helpful!
Nice hotel in a central location near the Grove. The accommodations meets the standards you would except for a hotel at this cost. Friendly staff and happy to keep our bags on day of check out. There is a pool and lounge chairs to relax in the common area. There is also a valet service at the hotel. Would definitely stay again when back in LA and looking to be close to the Grove, Melrose Ave, West Hollywood and the Beverly Centre.
The best place I’ve stayed at in all my trips to Los Angeles. I stayed in room 1207 and it was a big room with cooking facilities and the bathroom was extra big. It has east access to Starbucks and a wonderful pizza shop as well.
The pool was awesome and the hotel is extra close to the airport as well. The staff are very friendly and the breakfast food was more than enough considering it is Los Angeles and things ain’t cheap.
It’s nice for this price. Very friendly, good location, close to Universal Studio (12 min by car). At the corner a nice Café and a mini market. Secure area of West Hollywood. If you want to save money on hotels and live secure, book here. Don’t book in Downtown.
Pretty standard room, but with plenty of space, and large comfortable bed. Get's the job done for an airport hotel, I only wish there were more cheaper options around. Free shuttle showed up right on time in the morning to get me to a very early flight.
