The paths to and from areas of interest were very convoluted. One road name popped up on different sides of town but never connected in the middle...confusing to say the least. Once we arrived at our attraction the local staff were very kind and informative. Enjoyed seeing an actual archaeological dig in progress very much. So much history to take in! Colonial Williamsburg has been a family favorite of ours for many years and we always look forward to a return trip. The calming presence of going back to simpler times, the gained appreciation of accomplishing tasks using simple tools and dedication to perfection, and the friendly conversations with other families from around the world who come to marvel at this living museum always makes our visits memorable. I wish every family could experience Colonial Williamsburg the way our family has, and develop the same appreciation of having a place like it to visit. It is extremely affordable for large families to visit. Our six adult children often talk about their memories at Williamsburg, even from when they were very young. It is wonderful they now want their own children to visit and create their own family memories there, and really nice they drag the grandparents with them. I encourage families of all ages to visit Colonial Willliamsburg and visit all the different trade shops to learn how things were accomplished without the technology of today.Guest review byStimiloskiUnited States - 8.0
There are lots of cool places to eat.
There are lots of cool places to eat. There are plenty of eclectic places to shop as well as many upscale national chain stores to shop. Colonial Williamsburg/Jamestown/Yorktown are interesting educational places to visit and awesome for folks with children. Busch Gardens and Water Country are also fun for folks of all ages. Va Beach is a short drive up the interstate as is Colonial Downs where they have live horse races during the summer and a gaming floor with slot machines, this is a good choice for adults looking for something to do at night.Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0
