We want to point out the excellent organization of our pick up and drive by Yusuf, the welcome at the lodge, then the core piece the jungle trekking with Andi who was so knowledgeable about orang-utans and the rain forest. The food at the lodge was great too. Bukit Lawang is a place where things still seem intact and tourists are decent and treated kindly too. If it wasn‘t so far, I would go back in a heartbeat. It was an exceptionnal experience!

You can see monkeys and animals from your bed in the morning. The people are amazing, kind and really available to help you in any situation. Book here your jungle trekking (I did the 2 days trekking with one night in the jungle), the experience is really beautiful and the guides Cici, Sam and the owner Uddin are the best. Starting being your guides, they will become your friends! Lovely people and also careful about sustainability. It exceeded my expectations.

Fuad, the owner is a beautiful person. Made us feel so welcome and went above and beyond to make sue we enjoyed our stay in Harau Valley. Highly recommend and will definitely be back to visit and stay at Livio!

The garden in organized for us an incredible two-day jungle trip with two amazing guides Erwin and Jerry. From the moment we set off, their expertise and passion for the jungle were evident. They shared fascinating knowledge about the flora and fauna, and their guidance made the adventure both thrilling and educational. The trek through the lush, vibrant jungle was an unforgettable experience, and they ensured we were always safe while exploring hidden gems in nature. Their enthusiasm and professionalism made the entire trip enjoyable and memorable. We sow eight orangutans! The food also was delicious! I highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for an adventure in the heart of the jungle! Thank you guys!

Situated in Bukit Lawang, On The Rocks Bungalows, Restaurant and Jungle Trekking Tours features free WiFi, and guests can enjoy a garden, a shared lounge and a terrace. We were treated like family at on the rocks, wawan and his team were so helpful and friendly that we instantly felt at home. I cannot recommend staying here enough. We did multiple treks with Wong and he was wonderful, so much information to share but also never even felt like he was a guide. Treks can be suited for your fitness level but you are almost guaranteed to see orangutans no matter where you go. The restaurant was also delicious.

I stayed in a recently renovated room with beautiful views of the river! The restaurant attached has such a cool ambiance - a great place to read or study. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. Rooms were very clean and neat and an easy walk towards the forest or shops nearby!

With garden views, Para para cafe & cottage is situated in Berastagi and has a restaurant, room service, bar and garden. Mount Sinabung is 23 km from the lodge. The architecture of room that is like the batak traditional house. Comfortable even though there is no fan or air conditional. The family room is spacious. The resort has nice landscape garden. There is a vegetable farm beside the accommodation. Have nice view of Gunung Sinabung. Although breakfast is not included, it's cafe also serves delicious western food. Like the quiet yet calming of the atmosphere of the hotel. Highly recommended!

Featuring sea views, AAL Homestay in Sabang features accommodation, a garden, a private beach area and a terrace. Small apartment with private bathroom and western shower. Balcony with Sea view. Only 10 meters to the Ocean (private beach). Free drinking water and hot water. It’s possible to buy coffee and small goods at the hostel. The owner is very kind. Bed is big and comfortable. Fan is enough to keep the room cool with open windows.
