Vancouver - easy public transport from airport, use Canada Line metro direct to Waterfront (25mins). Fares for seniors: CAN$ 8.75 INTO city (Fri pm) & CAN$ 2,15 back - a bargain (Sat AM 3wks later). Waterfront metro staff -very helpful by simple-to-use automatic kiosks. Walk to Stanley Park along from Waterfront & go see the Totem poles via multi-use cycle and walking lanes, busy. If you walk back on W Pender Street, there's a drugstore (with food) and a liquor store towards Waterfront. Great supermarket (especially for supplies if flying Air Canada on budget VYR-Toronto flights with NO food served) named Loblaws City Market is located at 658 Homer Street - sell superb & huge pre-prepped salads $20 and big subway rolls$8. Walk to Yaletown Brewery (, Midland Street, vibrant area, 5 blocks N of Loblaws supermarket) for flight of 4 beers, $14.Guest review byN MUnited Kingdom - 10.0

We liked staying in downtown and walking the streets/harbour; we started our first day eating lunch in the harbour (Flying Otter Restaurant) and then visiting Craigbarroch Castle; the second day we went to Butchart Gardens, drove back to the Harbour (parked near the parking lot near Royal Scot Hotel), took pictures and took a tour inside the Parliamentary building, ate dinner at Old Spaghetti Factory, and walked through the Convention Center/Empress Hotel, we walked back through the harbour and got ready to depart the ferry back to WashingtonGuest review byAnonymous - 10.0

Only had 2 days - we used the Canada line to get to the waterfront then free shuttle to grouse mountain Canada line to waterfront then an uber to a cycle hire shop cycled round Stanley park and false creek. Then walked back to waterfront station for metro back to Aberdeen station across the road from the hotel. Are 2 nights at the Tap house near the convention centre. Great foodGuest review byBeverleyUnited Kingdom - 10.0
A must see if you plan going on to BC!
A must see if you plan going on to BC! We stayed in June but if you are a skier, I'm sure this is a bucket list destination. Walking around the village is pleasant with tons of places for drinks and nibbles. Look out for Happy Hour where you can get some great deals on food & beverages. Dog friendly if you want to take your fur baby. The gondola ride is a must!Guest review byHolmesCanada - 8.0
More to see and do that we realised.
More to see and do that we realised. Only stayed for one night (arriving early evening and leaving first thing) on the journey from Vancouver to Banff. The area has a lot to offer and would recommend a day or two to explore. Enjoyed a walk to the Riverside Park and a meal in town.Guest review byLornaUnited Kingdom - 6.0
POOR traffic management.
POOR traffic management. Overcrowded streets, wait through lights. Noisy. Poor street signage. Conducted main reason for trip but did not stop into retail or restaurants because of too much traffic and inability to make turns because of cement medians down the middle of the roads. Sure the medians reduce accidents but they add to driver frustration. If you are unfamiliar with the city it's a nightmare. Won't be back for leisure visit anytime soon. Thankfully I had GPS.Guest review byElizabethCanada - 10.0

We live 3 hours away from Revelstoke and make our way there a few times per year. We find it a great getaway at any time of the year for hiking or just relaxing around the Revelstoke area. As we do not have well developed winter skills we cannot comment on those services. Restaurants are great and are always looking for new options for their menus.Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0
Loved the experiences at Golden.
Loved the experiences at Golden. We stayed at Lush Mountain Accomodations, so it was in the mountains with beautiful views, but close enough to the town if we wanted to go out to dinner or grab some groceries. The restaurants were SO GOOD, which was surprising in a small town. We did sushi, pizza, and the mountain bistro. I would seriously rank those up with some 4 star restaurants I have been to in larger cities. It is a bit more expensive, but thats expected in a touristy town. Still less expensive than Banff! We took our family to the Golden Golf Course one day and White Water rafting with Wild Water. Both were graet experiences, so much fun, and truly memories our family will savor for many years to come!Guest review byChristeeUnited States - 10.0

I participated in the Elwood Wylie Memorial Track and Field Meet at the Rotary Bowl for 2 full days. I needed a quiet and comfortable place to stay. The Pub below was quite loud at night but I could still sleep.Guest review byArthurCanada - 10.0
The walkability of the town is great.
The walkability of the town is great. You can park your car and enjoy the sites and sound of the area. I went with Tofino Air on a mail delivery run to one of the out lying communities. It was a great experience!Guest review byMaureenCanada
