Cap aux Meules is a good choice for exploring the different areas of Iles de la Madeleine. If you like to cycle, there are some very nice routes you can take around Cap aux Meules as well as down to Etang du Nord, Havres de Maisons etc. There are few restaurants and fast food all in town as well as 2 bike rental places. You can walk down to a nice little beach (maybe 10 minute walk) and at the marina you can take a boat excursion over to Entry Island which is worthwhile to explore - some beautiful hiking. If you are planning a trip in the peak summer period make sure to book well in advance to get the best choice of accommodation options since they are pretty limited. When we go back we will definitely look at renting a cottage or condo, and if you are flying there, make sure to get your car rental booked in advance since availability is very limited!.Guest review byJoanneCanada
