I grew up in the Kingston area and will travel there to visit family throughout the year. I love the city, love being able to show it to my partner and discovering new things about the city. I often recommend it as a destination location to friends who may be planning a trip to Montreal or Ottawa from Toronto, and encourage them to spend some time in Kingston.Guest review byStewartCanada - 10.0

I made a point to visit some small towns but the lack of economic development saddens me. I saw people walking around in torn and worn clothes, and in contrast, respectfully dressed seniors as a testimony of better days - please build more than strip malls.Guest review byXinCanada - 10.0

Begin with the visitor's centre for a map and update on all things in Brockville - they had many great suggestions. My top picks: The underground railroad, then follow the Waterfront Trail to the Museum (it was Great!) and continue on the Waterfront Trail for a lovely walk. Do not miss the Aquatarium. Take a walk around the downtown area to see many important historic buildings. For dinner, make a reservation at Buell Street Bistro - we had a wonderful meal and excellent service while sitting in their outdoor patio.Guest review byDianaCanada - 6.0

Watertown is close to 1000 islands, which is a beautiful stretch of the St Lawrence river. We drove through, but we are sure there are beautiful hikes to explore and of course if you have a boat, it is a paradiseGuest review byRobertCanada - 10.0

The scenery was spectacular; the boat trip just the right length and the tour guide informative. Boldt Castle and its surroundings are beautiful. A very pretty town, which seems largely unspoiled. As a visitor from England, I only wish I could visit more often!Guest review byMacGregorUnited Kingdom - 8.0
Clayton is a cute town right on the St. Lawrence River.
Clayton is a cute town right on the St. Lawrence River. There are a few restaurants to choose from, coffee shop, gift shops and a nice place to sit and enjoy the river. Just outside of town, you can catch a boat tour of the area. There are several different tours to choose from. Clayton is located between Cape Vincent and Alexandria Bay. Both are nice to visit with Alex Bay having more to do.Guest review bySharonUnited States - 10.0

Kingston was a surprise to us in a good way.
Kingston was a surprise to us in a good way. We were en route back to Toronto airport and had passed through on our way through originally to Ottawa/Montreal /Quebec and beyond. We didn't know about the 1000 Island National Park so it was a delightful surprise to find out more on the 3 hour river cruise. The independent book shop was a wee gem as are the adirondeck chairs scattered around. With family in Quebec we would consider coming back this way next time and seeing more of the city's fascinating history. Great coffee shops &ice cream.Guest review byMcCrumUnited Kingdom - 10.0

We were celebrating our 50th Wedding Anniversary and the dinner at Graydon's was perfect. We went to the 1000 Island Playhouse for a Sunday Matinee, but unfortunately was unable to go on the 1000 Island Cruise I had booked because of a back injury. It's a lovely quiet place to visit relax and take in some beautiful views.Guest review byMcArthurCanada
