The waterfront was lovely as were the flowers and garden areas. A wonderful restaurant on the water was our best meal. The market on the weekend was the most civilized, organized and pleasant of any other European market. The produce was amazing. We walked everywhere We did not have time to see anything other than the city centre but it is a lovely safe city to visit.Guest review byJaneCanada - Review score
Don't bother going.
Don't bother going. It feels like a travel lodge, cheap feeling. Staff we ok not their fault. Breakfast an uncomfortable disaster. Clearly they are measuring portions and there is next to nothing on offer. I gave up and didn't eat. Really cheap behaviour for an expensive cost.Guest review byDavidUnited Kingdom - Review score
One of the smallest towns in Switzerland.
One of the smallest towns in Switzerland. Fifth time here, but haven't visited watch museum. As many other Swiss towns it's dying, so enjoy it until it's gone. Less and less people living there. Check a small second hand shop in front of hotel 3 kings - 80% are common household things, but often you can find some rare treasure like 50 years old Swiss knife, portable fondu copper set, vinyls, rare books, cutlery, etc.Guest review byvaldajkoChina - Review score

Travers is a small town but has everything you need as a traveler (food store, pharmacie, bakery etc...). In Travers and around a lot of activities can be done, for example hiking to Creux du Van, visit of alphast mines, horse riding etc... To reach Travers is very easy by car and there is also a train station which seems to be properly served. If you want to party, it's not really the place since there are not many options to do that. It's a quiet small town.Guest review byBenoitSwitzerland - Review score

When we stayed (Jan 2025) we received the Neuchâtel Tourist Card from our accommodation which gave free access to museums and public transport. A great positive surprise. We realised there is so much to see and visit in and around Neuchâtel. Will definitely have to come back. We liked the nice atmosphere in the down, the good brasseries, the many high level museums.Guest review byReinhard HSwitzerland - Review score

La Chaux-de-Fonds is an interesting town with some history.
La Chaux-de-Fonds is an interesting town with some history. It is a great place to start exploring the Jura mountains. In winter you can enjoy fog-free weather and beautiful sceneries in the countryside (go for a winter hike). If you are only looking a nice looking tourist spot, this town may not be for you.Guest review byThomasSwitzerland
