I only spent the night in PC and drove to Sto Domingo this morning, so my review is hardly meaningful. However I have stayed there before and it is very nice for an all-inclusive beach holiday if one wants such a thing. I prefer to exploreGuest review byJOHNUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Great restaurants! Friendly and welcoming people!
Great restaurants! Friendly and welcoming people! Stood in line to experience food at La casita Blanca restaurant. It was worth the 20 minute wait. Goes fast to be seated. Great beaches. Drove to el Yunque get there before 9am. Beautiful waterfalls, swimming and hiking. La Lechonera original in Guavate offers delicious fresh food at reasonable prices if you enjoy pig roast, ribs, tamale and plantains. Visited Culebra get tickets online via Puerto Rico ferry. If sold out online, limited tickets are available in person same day if you get there before 8am. Ceiba Ferry Boarding process is very organized and efficient. They start boarding an hour prior and shut gate 10 minutes prior to departure time. Enjoy beautiful Puerto Rico!Guest review byAnonymous - 6.0

Santo Domingo can be dangerous if you don't know where you're going. The Colonial Zone is the safest and most beautiful area of the city, and besides that, only a few other zones are worth visiting, such as "Los Tres Ojos."Guest review byAdrianoT.Italy - 8.0

Restaurants in Kingston (or probably whole Jamaika) took very long to make food, even fast food. Stood in line for long times usually. But other than that there were no problems. Nice supermarket nearbyGuest review byTina - 10.0
It's a quaint little town.
It's a quaint little town. All the restaurants are Italian or pizzerias. They were fair to good. The stores are interesting. It is a small village. We enjoyed exploring it, but there's not a huge amount there besides the souvenir shops, a few clothing stores, a few bars, a few coffee shops, and a few restaurants.Guest review byMitchellUnited States - 10.0
Las Terrenas is a lovely northern town on the Samana...
Las Terrenas is a lovely northern town on the Samana peninsula. If you want a chilled out vibe, full of locals and nice easy access to different beaches then this is your place. I went as a solo female traveller and found it very good, generally safe, did not feel threatened which is important when you're alone. Plenty of places to eat, but I would do your research first. The food was good, but often the service at restaurants was not so good. Cheap prices. Margarita Bar - inexpensive, amazing quesadillas Gelateria Italiana Artesanal - cute ice cream parlour El Loro - great beach snacks Ristorante Pizzeria Nonna Teresa - a fab family run italian with fresh pasta El Lugar - full options and good tapas style food Boulangerie Francaise - a cute bakery Empanadas y Más - didn't try, but known to have the best empanadas Pizza Coco - go-to amazing cheap delicious pizza Super Mercado Lindo - closest large supermarket if you want options 20-30 min walk or you can get a taxi/bike. Easiest ways to get around if you don't want to rent a drive is the men that drive the scooters, they all wear yellow high vis jackets so that you know they are safe, you pay them anywhere between $200-500 pesos equivalent to $3 for a short ride from A>B. But the dune buggies and quad bikes are popular for tourists to use. I highly recommend getting to see Limon Waterfalls, and I did a day trip to visit 4 secluded beaches. Waterfall tours by Flora Tours. Beaches tours by OBISPO ATM - very good value! Out of the beaches tried, Playa Las Ballenas was the calmest, but nice waters and quieter vibe to Punta Popy. Overall joyous experience for a solo traveller, I stayed at TAKUMA Hotel.Guest review byLoisUnited Kingdom - 4.0
Sad, overpriced and not very nice.
Sad, overpriced and not very nice. A lot of rubbish everywhere. No local culture. Beaches were poor. Theres a view of a large powerstation from the beach. No good food available apart from ridiculously overpriced top-end restaurants. Very shabby and disappointing overall. A poor end to a disappointing trip to the Dominican Republic which these days feels like a rerirement haven for expats. We left feeling deflated.Guest review byJonathanColombia - 10.0
Ocho Rios has a very small town feel.
Ocho Rios has a very small town feel. You feel safe, the locals are friendly. They have all the modern day convenience, grocery stores, restaurants dine in take out. Dunno River Fall-FABULOUS, Shopping Mall, fabulous, Miss T restaurant delicious food and service- I highly recommend Getting around by foot or taxi inexpensive and easy. No issues as a lone traveler early morning walks late evening returns cry safe.Guest review byAnonymous
