We didn't see a lot of the village as we spent our full day at Wadi al Hitan. There were one or two other small hotels. Tunis is particularly renowned for pottery shops and there is the opportunity to try and make your own pottery.Guest review byAnneUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Dears,
Dears, I am not requesting a cancellation, I am requesting a refund because the hotel facility was closed and under renovation, you can confirm this through google maps it will show it is permanently closed. If the facility didn't accept my request, I will go directly to the local authorities. Best regards,Guest review byMohamedEgypt - 10.0

The locarion is perfect at ther edge of the lake and just near the national park. The staff are very friendly. The bathrooms were ALWAYS clean. Breakfast was a real treat. The tents are very comfortable indeed. The price is very reasonable. There is lots of space at the camp and you always have a view of the lake.Guest review byAndrewUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Exquisite, stylish, relaxed, restorative, rejuvenative and incredible. It's exactly my kind of accommodation and is not for people who want hotel convenience, but anything you could want was provided for, by request. The resort staff were absolutely beautiful, not intrusive and available at any point for anything. The food was to die for. And REAL COFFEE that was so well made. Every meal was special, and created with heart. I truly loved it, I could have lived there.Guest review byPJAustralia - 6.0
Would not recommend this area to other travellers.
Would not recommend this area to other travellers. The village is poorly maintained and the restaurants are very bad quality and overpriced (the exception of this is Al Damashki, which was good price / quality). Also there was a nice fruit stand with delicious fresh fruit. Otherwise would not recommend for tourists, nothing to do there. The lake also is not accessible and the shores not well maintained. A lot of potential in the area, but not used at least for now. Also, would hope they take better care of the stray animals in this area, to sterilize and vaccinate them and provide basic food and water.Guest review byMelanieNorth Macedonia - 10.0

The hotel is exceptional, staff is so helpful, rooms are so spacious and very well designed. It’s so relaxing and worth the travel from Cairo. The only thing that needs enhancements is the Egyptian part of the food menu that needs more variety, also the restaurant prices are extremely high and must be reviewed.Guest review byTamerUnited Arab Emirates - 10.0
Beautiful genuine place.
Beautiful genuine place. People are very friendly and talented. Amazing pottery works and workshops. A lot of activities like horse riding, pottery lessons, birds watching and boats in the lake. The place is very calm, relaxing and safe. Local eating places serving delicious authentic Egyptian dishes like feteer and roasted ducks also there was a good restaurant offering Lebanese cuisine. Going arround is really easy as it is all happening in almost one street. If one gets tired you can easily get a toktok for a very few pounds.Guest review byGhadaEgypt - 10.0

Attractive, quiet village with one long main street containing lots of outlets making and selling pottery. Nice, relaxed atmosphere, good for strolling around. Well placed for exploring the area. Good range of accommodation in much better settings than those set along the main road beside the lake. Fair-priced taxi to Cairo airport takes two and a half hours. Restaurants ask you to order dinner the day before - no short-cuts with microwaves. Quality varies. Ask around.Guest review byStephenUnited Kingdom
