I stayed two nights at Talid Hotel in Siwa and had a wonderful time at the hotel. The room of the hotel was spacious and clean. The staff of the hotel were kind. In particular, Mustafa, the owner of the hotel kindly arranged tour and transfortation for me. He did his best for my comfortable stay in Siwa. I can not forget his kindness.

Outstanding, cheerful service from the minute I arrived. Breakfast was varied, delicious and generous. I love the land they have, and it’s only a 15 minute walk from the centre. The pool is ideal for cooling off from the sun, and there is a lovely traditional tent you can sit in too. Internet is adequate for emails.

This hotel made us fall even more in love with Siwa. The staff were always present and warmly responded to all our needs, making us feel truly welcomed. The guide they arranged was excellent — if we ever return to Siwa, we would definitely ask for their help again.     Beautiful beaches, clear turquoise water, soft white sand. Full range of modern amenities. Our hotel had everything we needed; we swam in the pool in the morning and spent afternoons at the beach. The breakfast and dinner buffets were fabulous. Staff were super-helpful and friendly. El Alamein is our favourite place for a relaxing get-away.

    Was the best surprise in our trip to Egypt.

    Was the best surprise in our trip to Egypt. Marsa Matruh has two of the best beaches we ever saw in our lives: Cleopatra and Agiba. For sure we will be back. We loved also the Museum of Marsa Matruh. There is a McDonald's just in front of the beach, so you can eat your "big mac" or an ice cream with an amazing view!!! The people of the city are not very used to meet strangers in my opinion, it seems that differently of Sharm el Sheikh and Hurghada, Marsa Matruh is more focused for Egyptian tourism instead of foreigners, so not everybody speaks English there. Prices are cheaper than in other cities of Egypt. We had a taxi driver that became our friend even we only could talk using Google Translate. Very warm personality and we booked him to guide us in all the beaches in a day trip. We can't wait to return to those amazingly beautiful and crystal clear beaches!!!

    It’s place for kids to spend time on swimming, swimming pool safe and good but it’s not good place for tourist , entertainment is poor and nothing around the hotel , food is not good , we can not swim in the sea because waves was very strong

    The chalet were clean and the terrace lake view was amazing.

    The chalet were clean and the terrace lake view was amazing. There are 3 beaches, the front of the resort is good but we enjoyed Sidi AbdElrhman beach. The cafeteria food was delicious and cheap. Owner was friendly and very welcoming. You must have a car to go to the 3 beaches.

    don't go to Matruh in peak season( July & August) too many people are in the streets & on the beaches, choose remote suburban location outside main city if you are a foreigner or Non Muslim women as culture & religion are playing against you if you want to take a dip in the sea wearing a one- piece swimsuit, the city is blessed with splendid nature and is cheap,

    Siwa stands out for its kind and respectful locals, a refreshing change from other parts of Egypt. The overnight journey from Cairo is long, but the stunning salt lakes made it absolutely worth it. Plus, Shali Fortress was a beauty!

    It is not a city you can visit as a tourist.

    It is not a city you can visit as a tourist. You need to book in a resort which you may leave once during your stay to have a dinner in one of the bedouin restaurants in the area. If you’re not going for business make sure to pick a resort with all facilities you might need.
