We are seasoned travellers, and do not usually leave reviews, but I felt I must make an exception for Golden Sands. We loved everything about this hotel, from the wonderful location to the helpful and friendly staff who did everything they could to make our stay enjoyable. All areas of the hotel were very clean and well tended and the rooms tastefully decorated. The popular and modern restaurant served delicious food and the cooked breakfasts were outstanding. In fact, we loved it so much we have already booked a return trip in September!

FAQs about hotels on Jersey

Beaches Worthy of the Mediterranean

In the English Channel, just off the Normandy coast, Jersey has wonderful beaches that wouldn’t look out of place in the Mediterranean. The largest Channel Island, it is a UK dependency, but has a distinctly Gallic feel and a dialect closer to French than English.

Home to the largest concentration of Jersey hotels, St Helier - the capital - is centred on a harbour protected by 16th-century Elizabeth Castle, an offshore fort beautifully lit at night. Gorey also has fantastic Mont Orgueil castle, which dominates the multi-coloured façades and fishing boats below.

Trinity in the north has one of the Jersey hotels on the beach and a wildlife park. Speaking of animals, in fields nearby and all over the island are fine examples of the brown Jersey cow that originated here.

Grève de Lecq has a beautiful curved beach, while the longest beach runs along the west coast from the St Ouen to St Brelade regions. In between is St Peter, site of Jersey Airport, while the war tunnels in neighbouring St Lawrence are now a museum and one of the most popular Jersey attractions.

Whichever choice you make from the range of apartments, guest houses and hotels in Jersey on Booking.com, it’s comforting to know that you are staying on a Fairtrade Island.

So many interesting places to visit on Jersey, with nothing very far away. Highly recommend the War Tunnels, Mont Orgueil castle at Gorey, Neolithic grave and Long House at Hougie Bie. Beaches are lovely everywhere! St Helier is not overly pretty but is great for shopping. St Aubin's bay has a great choice of restaurants - we recommend The Boathouse for tasty, relaxed dining.

    St.Brelades is a beautiful place.

St.Brelades is a beautiful place. The beaches are lovely, the views across the bay are stunning. The Church is well worth a visit, very pretty with a lot of history. There are plenty of places to purchase food, drinks and snacks and there are a couple of gift shops too. The public gardens are beautiful and well worth having a stroll around.

i know the village well and it has everything you need without the hussle and bustle of St Helier. Plenty of choices to eat, or just cook yourself if applicable. Market in town sells loads of fresh produce if you are self catering and if not there's 10+ eating establishments within the village and on a major bus route to town or the airport. Only slight issue can be parking but Jersey was built way before the car !!

Easy access to most points of interest in Jersey from here by car or public transport. Good seaview and beach accessible to walk on. Quite a busy road though and late night noise from the function room meant it was difficult to sleep with windows open.

Jersey is not very big, but all the parishes have something to offer. St Saviour is on the East side of the island and close to St Helier town centre. Several good hotels and eating places. There is a Howard Davis Park, the War Tunnels, St Saviours Church, and the Hotel de Normandie has an Ayurvedic Spa, has several schools/colleges, and its famous people like Lillie Langtry (1853–1929), British-American socialite, actress and producer from St Saviour.

A very small port right under the castle, several cafes, restaurants and small hotels and not a great deal else, but frequent and affordable buses will get you all over the island. Wonderful scenery, charming harbour and big sandy beach within walking distance, we had a great time!

St Ouen's Bay is the largest stretch of sandy beach on the Island. It is truly stunning and a joy to spend time walking along the beach. Prestine white sandy beach and clear blue waters with no pollution or rubbish to be seen anywhere. At low tide a number of facinating rock pools appear around some of the small rock formations and the fort filled with a diversity of seaweeds. Its beautiful. It is easy to walk the length of the bay. Would highly reccomend El Tico beach cantina cafe/restauraunt along the bay as a relaxing place to eat and enjoy the views. Menu offers an interesting range of dishes and the quality is excellent. Very friendly staff too!

Great place to stay, picturesque, quaint, very 'chocolate box'. Fab if you like that sort of thing, I guess. It is a little off the beaten track but again, that's probably a plus. Not much choice for eating and what is there, apart from the 'Hungry Man' cafe, is not cheap. Could do with a general stores perhaps?
