Naxos chora is a quaint town to walk around.
Naxos chora is a quaint town to walk around. You can get lost though in the warren of alleyways. At night there are a few dark corners so take a torch. There are many tavernas along the seafront and the place is buzzing. The sunset from Apollo's island is a must.Guest review byBrendaUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Agio Prokopios Beach is simply stunning!
Agio Prokopios Beach is simply stunning! With its soft, golden sands and crystal-clear waters, it's the perfect spot for a day of relaxation. The beach is well-maintained, and there’s plenty of space to find your own little slice of paradise. The surrounding cafes and tavernas offer delicious local cuisine, making it easy to grab a bite without straying far from the sun. The atmosphere is vibrant yet laid-back, ideal for families and solo travelers alike. Whether you’re swimming, sunbathing, or enjoying a stroll along the shore, Agio Prokopios is a must-visit gem in Naxos!Guest review byAndreaUnited Kingdom - 10.0
The place was excellent, and the beach was spectacular.
The place was excellent, and the beach was spectacular. Local food is so tasty, and prices are very reasonable. My trip was in May, and at that time, not all restaurants were open, especially at Night. We have to go to the City, which is not far, approximately 15 -20 minutes by Car. Mr. Angil ( The Owner ) was so helpful and did everything to make our stay unforgettableGuest review byRasha F.KKuwait - 10.0

The beach is a very short walk with chairs and umbrellas available. Lots of fish offshore for snorkeling. Also, some nice restaurants and beach bars along the Sea. Don't miss the mountain towns like Chalki.Guest review byJ.OrrUnited States - 8.0

Mikri Vigla is a quiet town with a couple bakeries and restaurants. Beautiful sunsets and beaches, but you should have a car / moped to get around. The bus from Naxos Chora is infrequent and drops off at the beach, not the town proper.Guest review byDanielUnited States - 10.0
The beaches are great.
The beaches are great. There’s also plenty of ancient history to go around, along with tavernas that serve food grown and cooked right there for you. Beautiful beaches, magical sunsets, serene views, abundant sunshine and delicious food all make for a unique Greek vacation!Guest review byRobertoUnited States - 10.0

I don't want to talk up Kastraki too much because if to many people are drawn to it it will become overcrowded, like Agia Anna and Plaka have become. We thoroughly enjoyed the spaciousness on the beach, the lack of crowds, and the better-than-decent restaurants within a few hundred meters.Guest review byRichardUnited States - 10.0

A lovely little fishing village. 2 tavernas with lovely food plus a bar cafe. All by the sea. Very friendly. An interesting place as it used to be a mining town for Emery stones which were exported all over the world. This ended in 1990 but there are still the workings and the locals are very proud to tell you all about it. In May it is very quiet and it was very nice for 4 days. 2 beaches nearby plus a cafe selling home made cakes, coffee, drinks etc and a mini market for all your essentials. We had a very enjoyable time in Moutsouna.Guest review byPatriciaUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Quiet beach with three Tavernas withing walking distance plus some smaller food service locations. There is a mini market where you can purchase essentials. It was very windy in June, less so we were told in September. No bus service, we hired a car but if you are prepared to walk up and doen the beach not absolutely essential.Guest review byChrisUnited Kingdom - 10.0

We have stayed here three times now: as a couple in 2019; as a family in 2024 and 2025 (May) with our now two year-old daughter. We stayed somewhere else (not very good) for a 2020 trip to Naxos and really regretted it - and so we were thrilled to return in 2024 and find that we still loved Arhontiko as much as we had previously. It is absolutely ideally situated, on a quiet track just off the main town periphery road. So, you can walk to the road and be at the wonderful large supermarket within minutes (as well as Cine Naxos and a few cafes/eateries) or walk a bit further into the main town. Or, you can head in the other direction to the beach, which is just a five minute walk through a lovely 'countryside' area populated by hotels and apartments. Quiet and beautiful. It's a lovely setting. We stayed in the downstairs 'Deluxe Quadruple Room', which has a large terrace facing onto the front of the property. The room had clearly been recently completely re-designed and re-decorated and is absolutely beautiful. Exceptional furniture/bed, lovely little kitchenette etc and large TV on the wall with Netflix (we were able watch using our login.) The bathroom/shower room is the best I have ever seen in a Greek island apartment - stunning. As ever, the host, Maria, was warm and friendly and we were driven to the apartment from the port - a lovely touch. Arhontko is the best.Guest review byGaryUnited Kingdom
