I had a fantastic stay at this B&B. The host was very friendly and welcoming, always ready to offer great tips about the surrounding area, which helped me explore some wonderful local spots. The breakfast was absolutely incredible — delicious, fresh, and a perfect way to start each day. I highly recommend this B&B to anyone looking for a warm atmosphere, helpful guidance, and a memorable breakfast experience!

Lovely little cottage that was nice and clean. A stroll down the lane brought us to a beautiful sandy beach with crystal clear waters. Siobhan was an excellent host and easy to communicate with. A perfect setting for a quiet detox getaway. A short and stunning drive into Keel beach.

Easy to navigate even if the roads are not great in parts.

Easy to navigate even if the roads are not great in parts. Some excellent views, and lovely beaches. You can drive up the mountains for outstanding vistas. But be careful as roads can be quite narrow. Weather was good when we needed it to be, but it was very wet at times. Crew Bay Cruise was very enjoyable and well worth a visit. Food on the Island (i.e.Teds and The Amethyst) was very good and reasonably priced.

Good location if driving or cycling. Food good.

Good location if driving or cycling. Food good. Room small for family of 4. Pictures deceiving on website. Staff polite and friendly. Keem beach is a must see, beautiful...even in bad weather! Paddle boarding at the lake was really good fun, lake shallow enough for younger children.

Doogort was peaceful and so relaxing.

Doogort was peaceful and so relaxing. There weren't any shops open while we were there over Easter, which was lovely. There might be more open during the summer. If we needed food we headed to Keel. The Beach Hotel in Doogort was open at the weekend and there were plenty of people in the bar but it closed again once Monday came. There are a few places to eat on the island, Mastersons bar being the closest. There is also a great wee place called Pure Magic which did lovely pizzas. The drive to Keel doesn't take long and has a few more bars and restaurants. If you want a quiet break with breathtaking scenery you're going to the right place. A drive to Keem Bay is definitely worth it but try to go early/late to avoid the crowds. We saw a seal coming out of the water and basking sharks not too far out in the sea.

Achill Sound was a perfect location for our family, not in the middle of the hustle & bustle of some of the very popular beaches but close enough to everything that was needed. We discovered a lovely beach at Dugort, went cycling on the Greenway and on the Island and eat at Achill Sound hotel. All good.

Keel is a beautiful place on Achill Island with amazing beaches stunning views peace & tranquility. The people are very hospitable & friendly. Lovely bar resturant Amesthyst where we dined and had the most delicious meal & drinks. Plenty coffee food trucks and lovely cafe called the Beehive. These were all within walking distance of where we stayed. You can easily cycle or drive around Keel & Achill Island. If you like sheep & baby lambs you won’t be dissapointed they are all over the island 🙂Keem beach is a few miles from Keel and we’ll worth a visit. It’s a little piece of heaven with amazing views aqua sea and golden sand.
