Clifden and the surrounding area are beautiful and fascinating, I was happy to return here after a very long time. It's a shame it's so far from Prague, otherwise I would come here all the time ;) The mountains are beautiful here, but unfortunately mountain tourism (as we know it in Central Europe, where even in less frequented mountains you have dozens of marked hiking trails and tourist pubs on the mountaintops) is not very developed here.Guest review byEvaCzech Republic - Review score

leenaun is remote and definitely requires a car and good rain gear. it’s an area of outstanding beauty no matter where u look u cannot help but be astounded by its dramatic vistas. people are helpful and warm and cannot do enough for you. Anywhere u decide to walk i will go with eyes wide and mouth open in awe of its beauty. Unspoilt yet just adequately enough catered for. humanity. I had a wonderful, if too short, stay.
I had a wonderful, if too short, stay. I used the outdoor pool and the hot tubs. Had a five star dinner with wonderful service. The staff are all amazing. An amazing nights sleep on the most comfortable beds. Delicious breakfast with so much choice and then it was off home for us :)Guest review bySusanIreland - Review score

It is a beautiful village on what feels like the edge of the world, surrounded by beautiful beaches, wonderful nature colours in a perfect setting. Perfect for group, family or solo trips. Great variety of pubs and eating choices in Roundstone village itself. I will be back for another visit and I will recommend to my friends too. Its a long drive over from Dublin but 100% worth itGuest review byAdrienneIreland - Review score

Lettergesh, Glasilaun and Dogs Bay beaches are all beautiful. Connemare National park / Diamond Hill walk are great for exercise and scenery, (weather permitting). If the weather lets you down, head for the pub for a nice quite pint.Guest review byRobertIreland - Review score
What a wonderful place to visit.
What a wonderful place to visit. Stunning views, beautiful walks very well mapped out. The most unbelievable landscape with fabulous beaches. Very friendly natives, it made me realise just how beautiful Ireland is and all it has to offer. I would encourage more people to holiday in Ireland. Very easy to get around the island and some lovely restaurants. People of Inishboffin could not be more helpful. Some great activities from Sauna, Hot Tubs. Great Bike hire. I would definitely go back.Guest review byChristinaIreland - Review score

Very small location, but very picturesque.
Very small location, but very picturesque. Ideally located to explore the surrounding area, including Clifden and Connemara National Park. Due to size of location only a small amount of local amenities but still very good quality.Guest review byRoisinUnited Kingdom - Review score

The village is quaint, colorful with lots of restaurants to choose from. I loved the little shops. I rented a bicycle while I was there and rode on the upper and lower Sky Road. The beaches looked lovely, but I was unable to go to them. The scenery was magnificent. The people were so friendly and helpful. I want to go back to that area of Ireland and enjoy it for a longer period of time.Guest review byKathleenUnited States
