The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Loved all the new electronic switches in the rooms very high tech. Enjoyed going to the spa and had a treatment. Loved the 12 o’clock check out. Liked the bar/ café area near reception, which was handy just to stop off and have a coffee and a pastry and a spot of work.

Dublin is a vibrant city, with lots of spirited nightlife in the City Centre. Arriving was easy by train to the Connolly Station then tram to my hostel. Walking around was pleasant and seemed very safe. I enjoyed seeing the Book of Kells on a tour of Trinity College, finding unexpected historical sites, and experiencing great food at local restaurants, such as Lemon Jelly.

Very nice and pleasant town to walk around.

Very nice and pleasant town to walk around. Castle has contemporary renovations in most parts. We had a bad experience with Rossiters Shoe Repairs in Butterslip Lane with a shoddy and expensive shoe repair (glueing only, lasted for one day!) Historic sites (including Rothe House, St Canices Cathedral and Black Abbey) were easily accessible and well worth visiting. Max the Miller's Pub worth a visit for Irish music and meals.

Swords is a bustling town with a reasonable range of shops and heaps of Cafes. Nearby Pavillions shopping complex is a very large mall with everything you need. Swoprds Castle in town is worth a visit but parking is a major problem in the township unless you carry cash. It would be so much easier if cards were accepted. Streets are narrow and can get congested.

Dundalk in County Louth, the wee county, provided an incredible outpouring of creativity to celebrate Brigid1500. The Northern Lights Light Show in Market Square, the murals and storefronts painted with signs of Spring and Brigid, the cultural production at An Tain Theatre and the County Museum. We were there for 4 days and we made the Proper Cafe "our cafe". The staff were very welcoming and remembered us and the food was great! We also took a bus to Carlingford and enjoyed a short hike and great views of Carlingford Lough. Also, the home of Thomas Darcy McGee, and Father of Canadian Confederation.
