The location was excellent - 2 minute easy walk from the beach and 5 minute walk to the funicular which leads straight to the heart of Taormina. The breakfast was also good and the garden was really nice - too bad we couldn't enjoy it because it was raining :-(

We loved walking along Corso Umberto.

We loved walking along Corso Umberto. Cafe Etna was a great place for granita. We did a boat trip from giardini naxos which was fantastic and highly recommended. We also went up to Mount Etna which was another great experience. The Greek theatre is worth a visit and the coastline is spectacular. We would visit Taormina again.

Giardini Naxos is a charming seaside town on the eastern coast of Sicily, Italy, located just south of the more famous Taormina. It’s known for its beautiful beaches, relaxed atmosphere, and archaeological significance. it has sandy and pebbly beaches with clear blue waters, ideal for swimming, sunbathing, and water sports. On clear days, you’ll have stunning views of Europe’s most active volcano. The seaside promenade is lined with restaurants, cafes, and gelaterias offering fresh seafood and Sicilian specialties. Just a 15-minute drive or short bus ride away, you can easily explore Taormina’s historic sites and dramatic hilltop views.

Letojanni is a charming coastal village located in Sicily, Italy, known for its stunning beaches and picturesque views of the Mediterranean Sea. My recent visit to Letojanni was nothing short of magical, offering a perfect blend of relaxation, culture, and culinary delights. Letojanni’s location, just a short distance from Taormina, makes it an excellent base for exploring the surrounding area. Additionally, the locals were incredibly friendly and welcoming, providing a warm atmosphere that made me feel at home. The village's small size allows for leisurely strolls through charming streets filled with local shops and boutiques, perfect for picking up souvenirs.

The town is wonderful and filled with history. we where lucky enough to visit during their carnival, which is something special especially with children. Even the locals are wonderful, mornings in the piazza's are like from a movie, time moving slowly and everyone talking to each other over a coffee. I loved it and looking forward to visit again.

Catania is only 15-20 minutes drive by car, depending on the traffic. Acitrezza was peacefull and we found the locals very kind, friendly and open hearted people. We dined well at Tratoria da Federico where we had delicious oysters fresh from local waters. Unfortunatelly there is no posibility to walk alongside the sea more than a few hundred meters.

Our hotel was placed in between Mascali and Riposto. We never went to Mascali but to Riposto. It’s old and run down. Whole town appears to close for siesta - check times before visiting. There is a faded charm to the town and a good long beach with some decent restaurants. Amazing views of Etna - it’s so close we had ash settle on our clothes while sitting outside.

Giarre and neighbouring Riposto are unspoilt small towns with few tourists. We were the only foreigners wherever we ate. La Tavernetta was our favourite. The seafood market in Riposto was a perfect source for the meals we cooked in our suite. Driving in Sicily is fun as long as you copy the locals. Use Apple maps for navigation - Google maps was useless.

Summary: Highly recommended, it’s a gem! The host

Summary: Highly recommended, it’s a gem! The host During our 1-week stay at Eugenias location, we felt completely comfortable. Communication was excellent from the start – she is extremely warm, helpful, and very dedicated to comfort you as a guest. Not sure about our check-in time – was ok waiting at the place for us with patience. Thank you again! Thank you for the welcoming gifts! Walking through the house, I mentioned the induction hob in the kitchen won’t work with the aluminum coffee brewer I bought in between. To enjoy real coffee in Italy, I bought it a week ago – one of my “have to do’s” going on vacation. Unbelievable and touching: Eugenia texted me the same day, when, the next day, it would be comfortable to drop off an adaptor to brew my coffee. I mean, what can I say? This is unexpected incredible nice and kind! She didn’t need to do that, as all is equipped perfectly. … Another thing I’m very grateful is: giving a lift to the train station at 7.30 in the morning. Cab companies tried to rip us off. This was during or before your working hours. That is the extra mile, Eugenia, thank you again! The house It was absolutely great: spacious, clean, modern, bright, in a maritime topic, stylish and tasteful decorated. Very well-maintained. Everything is new!! I haven’t seen such a dedication on details in any other place apart from home – we truly felt like home. A personal highlight for me was the perfect mattress. Sounds trivial, but think about it. On another level there’s a small area for seating + having a shower. Next level: Chill out area, top terrace. Quiet, sunny, one side towards watching Etna. Find some beach supplies – if forgotten. Again, the details provided for guests are just amazing! Location The location is pretty perfect: Quiet street. Narrow street but parking (enough!) is just 2 min walking away. By the way, I'm not from Malta, I'm from Isle of Man
