The hotel was fantastic and old, 16th century, but the facilities were up to date. The room I had was spacious with excellent facilities. Bathroom was great and the shower was very good. The staff were very happy to help and looked after me. The breakfast was very good and the room in which it was set with a vaulted stone ceiling was amazing

One of the most valuable aspects of this hotel is its central location — you can easily walk to the Duomo Cathedral and the city center without needing any transportation. At the same time, it’s situated on a quiet street. The hotel also has a café and restaurant offering delicious food, and right across the street, there’s breakfast available as well, where you can grab a coffee and a bite to eat. The hotel was exceptionally clean, and the breakfast was wonderful. The staff was extremely attentive — everything we asked for, they did with care and a smile. I am truly satisfied with our stay. I wish them continued success and hope they keep developing and doing so well in the future.

The location in the main part of town is fantastic central to everything. Breakfast is so lovely and generous. The blueberry pancakes are fabulous. The spa room is a nice touch and included in the price. You need to book in at reception. The cafe / bar across the road that is linked to the hotel is fantastic friendly and great aperitivo.

FAQs about hotels in Lombardy

Sophisticated and Serene

The diverse region of Lombardy touches the 3 largest Italian lakes: Lake Garda, Lake Maggiore and Lake Como. Their beautiful shores house many Lombardy luxury hotels and even more luxurious celebrity residences.

The rich and famous also flock to Milan, one of the world’s fashion capitals, where designer boutiques are found alongside La Scala opera house and the iconic San Siro football stadium. To the south, Pavia is best known for its elaborate monastery, while Monza to the north-east hosts the F1 Italian Grand Prix and World Superbike Championship.

Nearby Bergamo is the hub for cheap flights to Milan and it also has a historic old town, while to its east is peaceful Lake Iseo. A smaller lake is located by Varese, and artificial lakes also almost entirely surround the important medieval city of Mantua, seat of the Gonzaga court during the Renaissance.

Brescia to the north-west has monuments dating back to Roman times, while Cremona to the south-west has an impressive cross-shaped cathedral and huge belltower. This beautiful city is on the Po, Italy’s longest river which forms part of the Lombardy border.

Wherever you are staying, Booking.com has a fantastic range of accommodation including B&Bs, apartments and hotels in Lombardy.

Great public transport. Easy to walk around. Easy to take day trips to nearby cities.. Lots of sightseeing places.. Enjoyed SignorVino for apps/ cocktails.. One annoying feature in most of Europe: you need to pay to use a public bathroom.. or otherwise 'buy' something at a bar/ coffee shop to do so!

Having spent 311 nights in Limone you must understand that we like it and the surrounding north Lake Garda area. Last year it was selected as the most superb flower decorated town in Italy and at the international competition won the top five 'petals' in it's category of small resorts. The winter population is 1200 people but usually busy with visitors from the end of April till mid October. The only criticism this year is that I detected a cigarette end on some steps! Standards are slipping but the Mayor, Il Sindaco, was quite distressed. If in doubt just go and you will not be disappointed.

This place is beautiful and I'm very pleased to have been however I think a week was too long. 4 to 5 days would have been perfect. Parking is very bad and roads are narrow and difficult. The quality of the food in restaurants is very poor and very expensive. The pizzas are very good but you don't want them every day. We found a great place on our last evening, Seta, in the centre of bellagio. If we had known earlier we would have eaten there every night. Google it! Overall though, this place is so beautiful, it is worth a visit.
