Hotel Eros made our honeymoon an unforgettable experience! Traveling as a newly married couple with family, we were looking for something truly special, and Hotel Eros went above and beyond. From the moment we arrived, the staff treated us with such warmth and kindness, making us feel like cherished guests. They even surprised us with a romantic welcome in our room, complete with flowers and a lovely note—a thoughtful touch that made us feel celebrated. Our room was beautifully appointed, with breathtaking views that added a magical touch to each morning. The comfort and attention to detail in the room were top-notch, and we appreciated the luxurious amenities. The hotel’s dining options were fantastic, offering fresh and delicious meals that everyone in our group loved. Breakfast each day was a treat, with so many options to start our day off right. The staff truly made the difference. They were friendly, attentive, and always ready to help, whether it was arranging a day trip, recommending local spots, or simply making sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Every interaction felt genuine and thoughtful, adding to the sense of care we felt throughout our stay. Thank you, Hotel Eros, for making our honeymoon so memorable! It was a dream vacation, and we can’t wait to return one day. Highly recommended to any couple or family looking for an exceptional experience!

The swimming pool was the best part it could be nice and quiet when large families aren’t dominating it and allowing their children to runabout diving into the pool. It’s sat right under the volcano and is a very beautiful pool.

A HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT We have travelled to many European countries but this resort is a HUGE RIP OFF! We have arrived at the hotel at 16.30 and we were told that the room was not ready yet. We were given a crooked and about to be broken key at 18.00. The bungalows leave a lot to be desired. The toilet in the bathroom is too high and only suitable for people with disability. The shower has a missing glass door. Having a shower was impossible without water splashing out of the shower. The box for disposable bags (without bags) is all rusted and so is the toilet brush holder. No hairdryer as advertised. Although there are curtain rods in the bedroom the room is without drapes and so no privacy. In the room we had cobwebs. We were given a family room with a connecting door and people could look from the keyhole. We had to block the keyhole with toilet paper. The room has no telephone and so no connection to the reception. We had to walk up the reception plenty of times to make a complaint. The breakfast room. Chairs were covered with peeled wall paint and cobwebs. We had to clean the chairs every day to be able to sit down. The concrete seating in the restaurant was covered in dust and throughout our stay was NEVER cleaned. Espresso coffee was served in disposable cups. One of the receptionist was very rude to us and made us look like idiots and that we were the only ones complaining when in fact we saw other guests complaining of the same problems. The staff are highly incompetent. They have no idea of how working in the tourism industry means with no experience at all. Our complaints were fallen over deaf ears and no one listened. The resort is still undergoing refurbishment and in our opinion they should have made sure that all is up to standard for a 4 star resort before opening up for guests. The only good thing about this resort is the garden, the pool and the pool area.

Because of a "plumbing issue" we were rebooked to "Mari del Sud" Resort. From the outside it looked like the neighbouring Hotel Garden has shut down forever. So we got a free Upgrade, thank you for that. Special thanks to the extremely lovely and helpful staff at Mari del Sud, who made us enjoy our stay even more: Valentina, another young gentlemen whose name i didnt catch unfortunately but who was very helpful arranging a boattour and Ygoro.

    Incredible wee island.

Incredible wee island. Loved that you could cycle everywhere easily, there were lots of mini adventures to be had e.g. Vulcanello crater, snokelling, Monte Saraceno, Capo Grillo viewpoint & of course the Vulcano crater hike. Lots of great places to eat, cute, off the beaten track feel. We loved how quiet everywhere was in October.

    I love Volcano.

I love Volcano. The relaxed, laid-back atmosphere has brought me back half a dozen times and it never fails to delight. Sadly Maurizio's restaurant is no longer in operation but there are still some other places to eat that don't disappoint. Walking up the volcano is always fun, though they have restricted access to the zone of the fumaroles now, and the mud-pools have been closed completely. I was told this is because they have got too hot. We also went to visit the cat colony who are situated on Vulcanello, and was pleased to see that they have been moved to more comfortable quarters. Swimming in the sea - especially where it's sprinkled with hot bubbles - is always a delight. The Spiaggia Nera (black-sand beach) has not hot bubbles but is really pleasant. My only gripe with Vulcano (and the whole of Sicily) is that there is too much litter everywhere. It could really do with a good clean-up. The friendly, relaxed people go a long way towards making up for it ... maybe if they weren't so relaxed they would organise some clean-ups!

The Spiaggia delle Acque Calde is a must-go place, probably...

The Spiaggia delle Acque Calde is a must-go place, probably the only place in the world with sulphuric gas coming out from the seabed to warm the water like a natural jacuzzi. The mudpool next to it is also very good, it might look dirty from outside but once you are in it, it gets less smelly of sulphur and you feel like having a caffe latte bath!
