The island is (still) a real insider tip for western visitors. You should visit the traditional fishing village on the island. The people are very nice. Use translation apps, the language barrier is not a problem. In the pharmacy, for example, we were served before opening time at 6:30 a.m. Snorkeling is great. Discover for yourself.Guest review byLisaGermany - 4.0

This is a rough town, isolated from the rest of Cambodia by a long potholed road. The supply chain to Thailand is short and then the better infrastructure is available. There are good hotels and some excellent restaurants, which you must pay for. It was the rainy season the streets were we and muddy, the dogs are mouthy and the street lights exist but are unlit. Its four hours of hell to State highway 3. Dont believe google maps a road on the map is reportedly a red laterite mud slide for the whole journey. Take highwy 48 only.Guest review byAlanNew Zealand - 10.0

A special little community who have made this little pocket of south Cambodia their home. It’s a precious community of folks who have chosen to exit the rat race and enjoy the simple pleasures of life set within the wonders of the tropical jungleGuest review byKatharineMalaysia - 10.0

Island is still being developed, only a handful of resorts worth staing in. The side closest to the mainland (East facing side) has plastic pollution and boat traffic so not smart to stay there. West side is the better option and Koh Sdach Resort as of now is the n.1 option on this side. Right next to Cambodia's most well known coral reef. It is a great weekend trip, but more than 3 nights and you may be limited to what you can do. Lots of sea activities to do and visiting other islands, but nightlife or restaraunts on the island are pretty non-existent. You go for a couples getaway with lots of swimming, snorkelling and boating. That is the upside.Guest review byMaxUnited Kingdom - 10.0

The island is little and very original.
The island is little and very original. It is nice to go through the village, but there are not many restaurants or bars around. Take a boat tour to snorkel or dive, there are several possibilities to book tours from the resort or the local diving centers.Guest review byIlkaSweden
