Sayulita is a surf town with a laid-back atmosphere.
Sayulita is a surf town with a laid-back atmosphere. It has a low-key vibe, lots of local "hole in the wall" places for great food and drinks, funky boho shopping and beautiful, brightly colored "papel picados" swinging freely throughout the streets.Guest review byTabithaUnited States - 8.0

We went specifically to play Pickleball and found a great group of people to play with at the PikNPad. Beach was close and the strand of beach is great for walking. Lots of restaurants to choose from. Always felt safe. 😊Guest review byMonicaCanada - 6.0
Rincon is not for everyone. It is not in the least upscale.
Rincon is not for everyone. It is not in the least upscale. Most North American tourist were more than 60 years old. You will not make 'young' friends here. Almost everyone, including me, have been coming to Rincon for many years. It is a truly Mexican, beach town with many very comfortable, long stay hotels, most with kitchen option. The people of Rincon are exceptionally friendly in a authentic way. There are many other small beach town North and Soth of Rincon. When driving you will experience a lot of down and out poverty. Much un-controlled developement. Many areas are as bad as anything you will experience in Africa. But, I felt 100 % safe my 30 day stay there.Guest review byMichaelUnited States - 8.0

We met many pleasant local people at hotel, restaurants and on our walk around Centro. Even invited by a couple to stay in their guest house in the future. Old Tepic is a bit run down but still interesting. We enjoyed walking and discovering plazas parks people and birds. Does not feel like a tourist town.Guest review byLoisUnited States - 8.0

Beautiful country, the best restaurant in the bay for breakfast/lunch is LUNA LUNA. Lots of flowering plants and tropical trees still line the streets....MANY condo developments and lots of construction happening in the 'golden zone'. East of the 200 highway is a more authentic area to stay if you want a local experience outside of the condo/hotel areas.Guest review byStephanieCanada - 8.0

It is a nice small town with nice people. The food is good, especially the seafood. There is not much to do but the tour to the Islas Marrietas and the Playa Escondida is a must, a very beautiful and unique experience.Guest review byTT TwisterUnited States - 10.0

Friendly people, lots to see if you like small coastal fishing villages. With two rivers, there are plenty of birds and wildlife to see. The village is pleasant to walk at night with local families enjoying the plaza.Guest review byShawnCanada - 8.0
The food in the restaurants was great!
The food in the restaurants was great! Lots of entertainment in the clubs with live bands. Walking around town required paying attention as the streets require maintenance, however everything was within walking distance.Guest review byBrenda - 8.0
We had not been to Sayulita in years.
We had not been to Sayulita in years. Not a sleepy little surfer town anymore. Bustling with lots of tourists. However, you can stay in many accommodations away from the main street and enjoy the beach and restaurants away from the crowds.Guest review byJDcalUnited States
