Cebu City is what you make of it.
Cebu City is what you make of it. If you want to have fun in Cebu get online and if possible, ask friends who live in Cebu City. Cebu is a beautiful island. Cebu City is so convenient because of the airport and sea port. Its great for travel. I like Cebu City because it is not as big as Manila and its easier to move around in the city. So many places to eat. Ive been to TOPS or Top of Cebu.. The Gardens of Leigha...Im more for hanging out in town and Mandaue and lapu Lapu fascinate me.. The rooftop at the Bai Hotel... I like the view but didnt like The Bai Hotel. Ive used the ports at pier 1 and 3 to go to Bohol and Leyte. Mactan Airport... Its a convenient cityGuest review byDAVIDUnited States - 8.0

Nice Big Property. Which has both Pros and Cons Pros- Private Beach 3-4 Pools Pool Party every alternate Day Gold Course Clean Value for Money Cons- Staff behaviour is generic, they dont normaly listen and act on your requests. We requested multiple times for vegetarian breakfast through mail and directly at the reception but for no use. Breakfast is very basic. Specially for Vegetarians. Rooms need a little makeover. They fooled us by mentioning that they have a balcony which was not there it was just like a bay window not a balcony Hotel is away from the market 3-4 kms. They do provide free shuttle to the market but only 3 times a day. Else you need to take a tuk tuk from the hotel gate yourself which generally charges 150 peso for the entire rikshaw. although we did not use their mini bar but at the time of checkout they forcefully charged us for some used can which we did not use at all. but since we were getting late for the flight so we had to pay. They make you block 3000 peso in your card at the time of check-in All in the all, nice budget friendly big hotel but staff needs improvementGuest review byAlokIndia - 8.0

Loboc River Cruise is the highlight as is the lookout over the Chocolate Hills (great place for photos). The Bohol Bee Farm & Hinagdanan Cave are must see places as is Bohollywood out in the countryside. The road was bumpy in parts of Tagbiliran but saw them laying down new tar. Visited in 2017 & can see the place is booming & only going to be more popularGuest review byAnonymousAustralia - 8.0

We went to Mactan for a wedding and caught a 'Grab' taxi from the airport to the accommodation for about A$15. We had a room with a view to the sea, but could also see the housing of the locals, which contrasted to the fancy hotels - so sad to see the living conditions of locals. The area where we stayed was rather quiet and was safe for walking without too much traffic.Guest review byDeborahAustralia - 10.0
I hope the government addresses the electricity issue.
I hope the government addresses the electricity issue. If I were not a traveler but just a local resident, I would find it very frustrating. I wouldn't recommend staying there for long, especially since brownouts can last up to 12 hours.Guest review byAlly BautistaPhilippines - 6.0

Been in Moalboal in 2023 and you could really see the difference, beaches and Sardine run/Turtles were covered with dirt (in the water). Barangay should understand that if they go on like this: Moalboal will be almost empty within 10 years....what a shame! Environmental fee should be used properly! And the deal with all trike drivers to charge 50 peso a person is also outracheous... not funny if you travel all around the Philippines and you only encounter something like that in Moalboal.Guest review byLeon vd BosNetherlands - 10.0

Lots of expats to talk too. Beautiful 17th century churches.
Lots of expats to talk too. Beautiful 17th century churches. Why Not is a great bar after 9pm, billiards, disco, 80's music. Boulevard is very nice to walk with live entertainment HayHay ,and chiccos were the 2 best restaurants, but plenty of other good ones. It's definitely worth staying a few days . Dauin is close by for diving and snorkeling. Valencia has very scenic waterfalls and mango ranch.Guest review byBrown - 8.0
Though a small city, with the St Agustin Church & Plaza...
Though a small city, with the St Agustin Church & Plaza being the main attraction, the outskirts are beautiful and offer lot of things to do like in Silay, where beautiful Ancestral Heritage homes still stand after more than a century, as well as, very good food trip like El Ideal for their divine crispy thin piayas, guapple pie, and more. Pahanocoy is another outskirt that’s just a 20-minute public bus ride from SM Mall to organic farm FreshStart Organic & Natural where I had exquisite culinary experience in their Lanai Restaurant, 1 of 4, in its organic grounds. The owners & staff even made the time to welcome and visit with me and share their passion of sustainable organic farm to table dining experiences!!!! Likewise, they are spearheading reintroducing only the elite, 400 years ago could afford & taste, the most expensive Criollo Cacao in the world and have won golds in all it’s completions, locally n abroad as far as Paris, France, today!!!Guest review byLornaUnited States - 6.0
There are many interesting things to see and do in the area.
There are many interesting things to see and do in the area. However, transportation is a nightmare unless you book tours with companies that provide transportation. I noted that rental cars that you can drive yourself, are difficult to find and very expensive when you do find them. It seems that taxi's are only to be found at the Airport and thou reasonable at 300 pasos for a short trip across the city, it is difficult to find a taxi on the street. Tricycles (motorcycles with side cars) are ubiquitous in the city but uncomfortable, frequently overloaded and probably unsafe.Guest review byKhunYindee
