Room inspections a little more because my bed was loose at the head of the bed. I sit at the foot and the head raises up like the beds going to flip over. And there was a Band-Aid on the heater dials that were on the wall room 321. The walls in the shower needed to be washed down. There was hair on the walls of the shower.

Palo Alto, nice neighbour hood which felt safe. I was able to walk from the Caltrain station to the hotel without feeling afraid. Although not much to do in the immediate neighbourhood. Nearby areas like Santa Clara and Hillsdale provided things to do. Great to see the Scharity shop in the area.

Santa Clara is home to Apple and many other tech companies. There were many Asian restaurants, as well as other types. We found everything to be very very expensive. A simple udon / tempura cafeteria type restaurant with no alcohol, and one shared beverage was $48! Definitely need a car to get around but we were also very impressed with the extensive bike paths clearly marked along all streets. It was also so clean with lovely trees and vegetation everywhere. We loved the Cupertino area. Lots of great eating options, although prices were very high.

It is actually too spread out and I definitely could have used a map given out by the Avante Hotel. I ate in a Chicken Fast Food take-out 2 nights, at a Sushi place, and a Cafe. I enjoyed the Computer History Museum. My meetings were in Palo Alto, but it was easy to get there.

    I love RWC.

I love RWC. Close to SF, Half Moon Bay, hiking trails, Stanford, shopping and restaurants. My biggest complaint was there was a huge row in a nearby room that went on for hours in the middle of the night. No one from the hotel came to investigate. We were quite upset and shook. We almost called the police a few times. Ruined our time and I’m still upset. There was yelling, cursing, things banging - we had no idea we what may happen next. All the front desk said was sorry.

They advertise like an hotel but is only a motel.

They advertise like an hotel but is only a motel. Tv. was not working at all unknown brand and only able to control with remote control which has no batteries. After 20 minutes trying to watch the news with no results ,I had to call one phone but the person who answered want me after my 10 hours flying (at 11.49 PM ),to go to the lobby to look for the new batteries “somewhere” in the lobby, because was to late for her to fix a problem that should never happen. Not even one of the plugs to charge the cell phone or lap top worked (USB and C port from very bad quality). So I had to charge everything in my rented car. The heating water also not working at all. Looks a facility that the owner runs from his home. The people who answers the phone really don’t care much to satisfy the passengers. They just answer emails asking for apologies, but nobody comes to the facility when you tell them what was not working. They promise me to come next morning to fix all the things not working, but never appeared. Finally next day at 10.30 am I decided to cancel my next day reserved, but they kept my money for 2 days anyway. …. In simple words I felt very deceived going to Kasa Catrina. Is worst than a Super 8 motel. Owner probably makes big money because no personal hired but he never supervise his facility either. Nobody warned me that I absolutely needed to have my own USA SIM card in order to get to my room, because everything is virtual. If your flight arrives after office hours, and no USA SIM card no possibility to get into your room since nobody in the lobby either. Took me like 30 minutes to follow all the virtual procedures to get to the lobby and my room. Doing that very late in the night after 10 hours flying from Chile was a nightmare.

If Breakfasts included in the price is an important factor,...

If Breakfasts included in the price is an important factor, do not choose this hotel. Honestly it was just like any average hotel. It was within close driving distance to restaurants. You will also pay an additional $15 each day for parking. When a hotel lists breakfast included and you don't get it, either Booking.com has the problem or the hotel does. It became our problem at any rate. In either case we did not get one, drove down the street and paid $68 at an ordinary Waffle house for eggs, bacon and waffles. $300 overnight stay is expensive... period.
