Although the island's capital, Kingstown centre is quite small and is composed mostly of offices with few shops or restaurants and it is quiet, almost dead, at night. The best beaches, bars and eating places are a car ride away the other side of town. But definitely worth visiting Kingstown's churches and central streets during the day.Guest review byGraemeUnited Kingdom - 10.0
It’s the location for me.
It’s the location for me. You have perfect options of beaches bar / restaurants. Young Island , Mangos Basils at Villa and a lot more. Local fish market. U can even take a boat tour or have a diving experience at the local dive shop. Location is only 15-20 from the airport. CALLIAQUA is the place to be 🫶🏽Guest review byAnonymous - 4.0

Beaches are littered with garbage (empty food containers, glass wine bottles, shopping bags, tissue papers, etc.) Not much to do during the daytime or night. We were here only to visit an elderly friend.Guest review byBARBARACanada - 6.0
Kingstown is a typical bustling Caribbean port.
Kingstown is a typical bustling Caribbean port. Not a lot to do other than the Botanical Gardens during early November. It probably has more going on once the tourist season really starts. The arrival of a Sandals resort will probably make Kingstown a very different place in years to come. More cruise ships are also due to dock too. I would go back as a stopover to any of the island especially Bequia. Young Island was a nice day pass hotel too.Guest review byRosalynUnited Kingdom - 8.0

The Place is beautiful the houses and the twisting roads are path of natures diversity beautifully harnessed by the citizens. People seem to be layed back , presumably beautiful part of their culture. Need a lot of cash to make the visits to other Islands or even take a cab. Bus ride could be frightening, noisy etc. Young Island was good for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The shot boat ride across adds to the fun...completely safe. Bequia was lovely... plan a day trip , the beach there is ideal for swimming... generally the people are nice , not in your face. that's good, but be unengaging. Recommend the Lobster with rice & veg. My last meal there beautiful...Guest review bypaulIreland - 6.0
Everyone's friendly but not much to do in Arnos Vale.
Everyone's friendly but not much to do in Arnos Vale. Except for driving to the hotels I can't say that I would venture out at night in Arnos Vale. We were told that there is mostly no night life after 11pm, but that's ok. I must say that we were grateful to have a good bite to eat at the Chill Spot after midnight, just down the block from Buttercup Cottage. Places we ate... At Chill Spot and Bar on Vigie Highway, we ordered chilli rubbed bbq wings, cheese burger, potato wedges and Hairoun (local) beer. Lunch at French Verandah Restaurant at Mariners Hotel on Windward Highway. Dinner at Basil's Restaurant and Bar on Bay St, Kingstown. In Bequia we ate at Mangoz Beach Club and De Reef Restaurant and Bar. Great places to chill.. right on the beach off Lower Bay Road.Guest review byBarnett-Peterson - 10.0

Wallilabou bay (Pirates of the Caribbean location), Dark view falls (a great fall with easy access and change room available), Owia salt pond and Black point tunnel all wonderful places all excellent places. Getting around is not that easy so renting a car is advised.Guest review byDenzilTrinidad and Tobago - 8.0

The trip was too short to talk about the area, Didn't get to tour the area because our trip in svg is to attend the 3days OECS swimming Championship And getting to the Shrewberry Aquatic Center was no problem But I felt at home tnou We ate at the Mint Lounge, the food was excellent Calliaqua seems like a place u can get around easily, because of the amount of busesGuest review byJeffers - 8.0
Arnos Vale was quiet and homely.
Arnos Vale was quiet and homely. I loved The London Dessert Company it has a waffle that's light, fluffy, and delicious. The owner is delightful and attentive. Getting around was a breeze as buses are frequent, but be prepared for a tight fit.Guest review byNoel
