How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Very clean, newly build, good bed. Louise and the host were wonderful. We had a long conversation and they helped with questions about transport to the airport. Gave recommendation to food and we were able to store our luggage at the place and come back to stay until our late flight.

There appears to be one bathroom per floor/room ... so, sometimes you might have to wait (not a major problem, but just wanted to point out).
Good location (5 minute walk to the airport bus). Clean room with lockers. Bed was comfortable. Small but nice lobby area (cold beverages available at reasonable prices).

Don't try to find the place with an offline map. Did rounds and rounds until I asked for help from some tourists on internet.
Very clean, quiet, comfy bed, airco room. Super helpful host.

The bathrooms were clean but a bit small.
I loved the privacy of each bunk. There were curtains enclosing the whole thing, a light in each bunk, and the beds were very clean and comfortable. The lockers aren’t massive but big enough for my 45 L backpack and came with a lock. I also appreciate that each bed came with a shower towel. Although the bathrooms are a bit small, especially the one on the first floor, they were clean and comfortable to use. Staff was very friendly and willing to help and held my bag after check out until I was ready to leave the city. Location is nice and central. Construction is happening nearby, but it shouldn’t affect the experience. As a solo female traveler, I felt safe staying at the hostel and in the general location in the city.

There was only one bathroom per floor. You could use the ones on the other floors as well, but at certain times you just had to wait longer. It wasn’t a big deal, but since I arrived at 2 a.m., there was an additional charge of €3.00.
The hostel is quite new. It’s perfect for a short stay. It was clean, the bed was very comfortable, and all beds had curtains for privacy. You also get a towel and a key for a locker, which is a good size. The location is unbeatable. It’s about a 5-minute walk to Skanderbeg Square. From there, you can catch all kinds of buses (to the airport, bus terminals, Dajti Mountain, etc.) — it’s the perfect place to explore Tirana.

Great welcome on arrival from Louise and so so helpful. The owner was so extremely helpful and friendly. I needed to change money up, and gave me a recommendation nearby and helped me with printing my boarding pass. Comfy bed too. Superb location, 5 mins walk from where you get off the airport bus. There is a market area near to the property with lots of restaurants in a quieter area, away from the road. Very reasonable price. Thanks for a great stay!

The place is very close to bus stations! The place is very clean and the beds are not too cramped like other hostels. A lot of space to move. Highly recommend!

Common room not really very usable as doubles as reception.
Comfortable bed with privacy curtain. Air conditioning. Very clean bathroom. Fabulous location. Friendly staff. Free locker and towel.

The host is so nice, he showed the way to get the bus stop to the airport when the road was unaccessible. The house is near the city centre. Highly recommend it

Very convenient for buses, near Skanderberg. Helpful owner and staff. Quiet dorm, good bed with curtain. Use of a kettle, crockery, cutlery and tables downstairs. Easy life.

- AC control is a problem. Guests should be able to control it because it is on at late time and off very early. This makes it hard to stay or sleep in the room during hot days - Plug is way higher than the bed. Not comfortable to use when the phone is plugged - One toilet is on each floor is stressful. Toilet and shower are in the same place. It takes forever to find it empty Just some feedback. I’d stay in this place again absolutely

The Hostel is very clean, the host is super helpful and knows his city very well and the location is just perfect. Everything is in walking distance, but still it’s very quiet at night.

The hostel is quite new, so you can tell some things are still settling in, but it’s already comfortable. The beds are great, no noise and really comfy. I only stayed for a couple of nights, but my impression was that it’s not a very social hostel, maybe because the common area is quite small, though I might be wrong. Still it definitely serves its purpose and has a great location, which makes it a solid option for a stay in Tirana.
