Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content

- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The hotel staff, specifically the receptionist Agatha, performed their duties terribly. We arrived 15 minutes early, and in the end we waited for her to give us a room key in a rude manner for half an hour! In this case there was no reason to delay us, because the room was ready. At the same time Agatha tried to make us understand that she was as busy as possible now, typing out loud a response to another negative review on bookings. In general, all her communication was in a rude style. In addition, the elevator does not work in the hotel from 1 to 10, which in our opinion is illogical, because breakfast is from 7 to 10.
There was a lot of floor air conditioning in the room. Overall clean, lots of towels in the bathroom.

At night there was loud music downstairs and the hotel is on a really busy road. Also the airconditioning in the room didn’t work

The ac unit in the room was more like a fan since it didn't blow cold air at all just for a while when we got ice packs from the reception. The room was not quite like the pictures and we didn't have a ceiling light only the lamps on the bedsidetable.
The room was clean and felt fresh even though it was outdated. The staff was friendly and helpful.

No central AC made the room slightly warm, though the hotel staff had provided fans in advance of our stay. Unfair criticism given the age of the building and likely cost of installation.
We are returning customers to Hotel Allegro following our stay in March 2024. The hotel is located close to local amenities and is a short tram away from the centre of Vienna. The staff are wonderful and make everything stress-free. We will be staying here again, for sure!

We arrived at 2 am in the morning and we have reserved a bedroom for two, but they mistaked and got us a doble with separated bed, the guy at the réception was really kind to try to solve the problem,but in the end we would have solved it in the morning. Next day there was a girl at the reception that wasn't so kind and also seems really annoyed, even though we just wanted the room that we had reserved. That's all, after this everything was good, but the girl wasn't really disponible.
I liked the position because it was near the station to get in the center of the city and the room was clean and tied.

Very small shower. Building work on subway outside meant works started very early, fine for us but if you wanted a late sleep might have proven difficult.
Good size room comfortable bed. Easy access to transport links and only 1 stop away from central station. Staff very friendly and helpful. Luggage storage room free of charge so you can leave luggage and explore the city.free WiFi

The AC in the room was very bad. We were boiling in there. We barely slept.
The location is good, next to a train, bus, and metro stations. And it is one station away from the city central station.

the air conditioner did not work. It was terribly hot in the room and the fan did not help at all. I had to sleep with the window open, but all night long sports cars were driving very loudly on the street. I almost didn't sleep all night.

Throughout the hotel it needs to much renovation. Squeaky floors. Only ceiling fan like air-conditioner but it's not. At night could not sleep with too much heat. Carpets are very harsh. Bed was broken. Toilet was in a separate room than the bathroom,I don't know if this is normal here as we're not from these parts but it was very strange that after you use the toilet you need to go to another room even to wash your hands. . Thank god I stayed only for 2 nights.
Room is good size. Location is close to metro and train station. Breakfast was ok

There was construction work going on in front of the hotel. Of course, it is necessary and the hotel cannot do anything about it. I just wish there was more guidance on where taxis could pick their passengers up. There was enough guidance for pedestrians. But maybe more clear signs for the cars?
The room was so big and comfortable. The size of the room was just unbelievably big! Cleanliness was perfect. The staff was absolutely lovely. I'd say it is not within walking distance to tourist attractions. But when you use the trams and metro, it's pretty easy.

After spending a few hours in my room, at around 8 p.m., a big and loud fight begins to happen just next to my room door, with people screaming and being violent. Since the fight was taking place next to my room door, I haven't felt safe in leaving my room, so I tried to contact the reception but got no answer, not via hotel room phone or my private mobile phone. The fight went on undisturbed for around 45 minutes. After that, I could go down to the lobby and inform the receptionist. The receptionist told me that police were already there and that SOME PEOPLE GOT INSIDE THE HOTEL FROM THE STREET. I honestly find it unacceptable that no control was present whatsoever and people were coming from outside. I decided to leave the hotel also because, after reading several reviews, I felt unsafe. For the price, I would have expected a better service.
