Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

No air conditioning, just a fan during the hot days.
Excellent stay. Cozy bed and nice room. Good breakfast. But, I loved the shower! The water pressure is great and it was very good to use it during the hot days we were there.

The rooms are a bit old, but it doesn't really show.
The location is good, just a 10 minute walk from the train and tram stations. The staff were nice. The breakfast had a lot of variety to choose from.

The walls may be a bit thin. If you are a light sleeper consider taking earplugs along. Other then that i dont have any other remarks.
Nice personell, and good breakfast. The hotel is located near the beautiful votivkirche, and easily accessible by public transit.

There were 2 additional power point. But finding them was not easy.

I didn’t like the amount of lighting in the property. The bathroom space was very inconvenient and small.
The staff were very friendly during our stay. The rooms were comfortable and there was lots of storage space. Breakfast was very tasty and fresh. The location was perfect with a tram station opposite and a train station a few minutes away. They provided a fan, a kettle, a television, a locker and a couple of lamps. It was a typical Viennese building.

Limited selection of food in buffet breakfast. The hotel is bit outdated.
Receptionists are really kind. Location is approximately 2-3 minute walk from train station. However, in google map when we search the hotel on our first day, the nearest train station did not appear, so we walked from Schuttentor to the hotel for 9mins.

The garage is 5 min by car away and it wasn’t free. We managed to find a parking on the street though.

The room was just big enough, but the corner where the bed was not very clean. The rest of the room was perfect. The wifi is not very good unless you have Eduroam.
The staff is the best! They were very helpful and accommodating. Very kind people. The location is fantastic, a few minutes walking to the centre. The breakfast was simple but very good.

One of the downsides was poor housekeeping with noticeable dust presence. Cleaning should be conducted diligently. Breakfast is 6/10
Located in central part with good commuting infrastructure with lot’s of cafes and restaurants around. Friendly service. Availability of early/late check in.

The room decor was very basic.
Super friendly and helpful.staff. Smooth key drop and instructions for late arrival. Great continental buffet breakfast. Good shower. Nice sized room. Being able to leave luggage af the desk after checkout gave us the chance to explore the centre of Vienna from this fantastic location.

Walls were a little thin. Also had to come in through the night entrance which was a little sketchy.
Location was perfect. Beds were small and not the most comfortable, but it worked for a couple of nights.

I wish it had a kettle in the room and a small fridge. A minor thing - one of the lamps was not working in the room.
The room (I took a single room) was simple, but met my expectations. Convenient location for sightseeing, nice breakfast, clean room, nice historic stairway.
