beds too soft and weird comforter on top, some areas not cleaned properly (e.g. knobs on radiators in bathroom, quite some noise from the street, they however offer ear plugs if it gets too noisy :(

The bathroom sliding door didn't offer a huge amount of privacy. The staff in the breakfast and a la carte restaurants were really friendly, but found a couple of the receptionists to be a bit unhelpful and rude. One lady seemed very inconvenienced every time I came up to ask a question, and another was unwilling to call the hotel restaurant to make a booking for me, and told me to go and speak to them myself (just as I stood there in my socks and in all my ski gear). Not a problem to pop across the road, but not a response I expected!

Very spacious and comfortable room and bathroom, great location, really nice breakfast. Dinner at the restaurant was lovely and the staff really friendly and accommodating.

From the building and room allocated it could get very noisy from a nearby nightclub from approx 10pm - 4 am each night - not the fault of the hotel, but something to bear in mind when deciding location if getting a good night sleep is important to you after a hard days skiing to be ready for the next day. The double glazed windows did help when shut but were unable to completely prevent the volume of the music or its clientele when singing outside in the street ! Accepted, not the fault of and beyond the hotels ability to do much about this, but although I like to have an occasional late night on my skiing holiday I would be looking to stay in a quieter part of town if I visit the resort again because of this one factor as it was almost every night and definitely had an impact by the end of the week.

Nice hotel. Friendly & helpful staff in all departments, 10 min walk to City Express ski lift, comfortable room & size for single occupancy, good bar area at reasonable prices, nice breakfast. Great location for centre of town and nightlife, particularly if you like to party hard (or are a heavy sleeper and unaffected by nearby 'boom boom' bar !).

very noisy as it was next to a nightclub. Also on the first morning I was awake by a tile cutter going off at 7.30am.

one staff at reception was quite rude, put me off. when at breakfast table, you felt that you are being watched on what you ate. on the last night I bathed in cold water due to some problem. Staff apologised and told me I should have called them - it does not make sense as it was very late at night and even if I managed to call them (which I don’t know the number) to fix the problem, I will not be able to sleep on time.

The underground carpark was very squashy and made it extremely difficult to park our car, let alone open the doors and get out of the car(!); then when we were given our room on the top floor with no balcony (the booking was made in mid June for a room with a balcony and to add insult to injury, it was the only hotel on our tour that had requested payment one month before the stay!) and due to the extreme slanted roof ceilings we kept hitting our heads on the slanted ceiling, we were of course very disappointed! Especially, because we are both quite tall and had to constantly duck down to get around the bed and the room in general! When we asked why we weren't provided with a room on a different floor with a normal ceiling and a balcony as initially booked and paid for well in advance, the receptionist responded, "Oh sorry we are fully booked and cannot change your room!

The breakfast buffet was fine and the reception area with a lift to the upper floors was pleasing, plus the central location in the town and close vicinity to the esplanade etc.

Front desk staff on arrival were not at all welcoming, sadly, including trying to encourage us to pay the city tax in cash and expressing his reluctance to accept debit card. An awful lot of noise from outside that you had to endure if didn’t want to boil to death in your room as there was no air conditioning. We weren’t told that there was a restaurant just for those with bed & board and then we went over to the main restaurant we waited for 15 minutes before leaving as no staff came to take our order. The rooms weren’t clean: there was dust on the bedside tables and the bathroom counters. It wasn’t a clean room. The elevator took so long to come it was easier and quicker to struggle down the stairs with heavy bags rather than wait. Very narrow entry to the bedroom - you couldn’t have the wardrobe open and the bathroom door open at the same time.

Nice location, 5-10 minute walk from the station. Nice foyer.
