Was initially given the keys of a room that was already occupied… embarrassing. Heating/airco did not work. Bed was hard as a plank.

Shower area & wc are in a separate area which is across the room, from one another. Very compact room. Not much of standing space. Too small to my liking.

It's clean and bed was comfy. Location was good cos it's walking distance to the shopping area. Ample parking space in their basement parking.

Expensive, for the price, the service could be a bit better and the overnight garage free, 12 eur per night is too much.

Twice before the stay, the hotel promised to make us a take-away breakfast, as we were staying just a quick night 22.30 - 05.30 between trains. However, they forgot to tell the kitchen and the receptionist told us it was not possible, as it was late in the evening. After a bit of and argument and the proof of the promise, the manager agreed to get up early and make us packets. So finally it turned out well. Furthermore, some room parts (for example bathroom door) looked rather cheap for a 4* hotel.

Very well located in the centre of Bregenz, close to the train station. Very well designed interior.

It is a second time I stay in this hotel and will be the last. Last year I liked the place, so I booked it again. I normally go to Bregenz twice a year. This tile all was really BAD and disaponting. The room was on a street leves, close to sauna and had a bad humidity smell. On top it was not properly clean. Had somebodies hair on the bed and in the bathroom. Breakfast was another disappointment this time. They do nor refill things. And were missing a lot, trays were empty or half empty. Once when they finally brought some filled bakery it was cold and the filling inside was FROZEN, so uneatable. Breakfast is till 10.00 on week-days but at 9.30 there was next to nothing and nothing was refilled. Service in the breakfast room was not friendly either. On top of all of it there was a full evacuation from the hotel one evening for the possible gas explosion. We all for like 2 hours out in the street. Police, fire-fighters, Red Cross. As we unfortunately were in sauna at the time when urgent evacuation started, we were forced to stay half-wet and cold on the street. After this incident I (as an owner of a hotel in Madrid) AT LEAST expected an apology letter from owner/director or a free drink in the bar. I for my hotel guests would do a partial refund as the guests LOST couple of paid hours of use the their hotel room let aside a great inconvenience all this brought. BUT THERE WAS NOTHING, not a message from a hotel, not a word said when we were checking out. So conclusion: it was bad from beginning to end!

Room was not clean, crumbs and lint balls on the floor. Shower was not very user friendly. Room had small terrace but located near kitchen exhaust which made room smell like a frying pan

The cleanliness of the room(under the lockers was dirt) and the floor felt so dirty! and the constant noise from the fridge during the night. While another staff member in the morning laughed when I rang through a request for toilet paper as none was left in the room

Sadly, my experience with the staff was rather unpleasant due to a situation that seems minor and could have been solved very easily and smoothly. In contrast to what was stated on the booking site the rooms are not equipped with queen beds but with two separate beds. Unfortunately, the young lady at the reception treated my respective comment with a mixture of ignorance and arrogance that I have seldom experienced before in a hotel. Essentially she was just saying that would not be her problem, I should have looked more carefully at the photos which show the separate beds clearly. I was stunned and it influenced my sense of comfort at the hotel significantly. I have not experienced such behavior in a classy hotel in my entire life. In my view, a 4* hotel deserves staff that embodies a „service“ mentality also in the way they interact with their guest. It is very sad that this encounter spoiled this place to me. I will not return to a place where I am not treated as a guest.
