Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

PolandI stayed there only one night and did not experience any inconveniences. The building is pretty old. Although it is called hotel, it is rather a pension.
The room was comfortable. The staff were very nice and helpful. The best thing about the hotel is its location: it's very close to the Wien-Mitte train station. There are a lot of shops, markets, restaurants, cafes.

New ZealandThe first two nights we stays the air conditioning wasn’t working and it was in peak summer, so those sleeps were very uncomfortable, but it eas fixed by our third and last night which was good. They were doing construction work directly outside our window and started jack hammering concrete early in the morning, since the ac wasn’t working we had to have windows open which made it extremely loud, although not a fault of the hotels.
Good location close to city centre and lots of shops near by, like kebabs and supermarket which is handy, staff were very accommodating and always happy to help, always greeted with a smile. Would visit again !

United KingdomTowels could have an up date were a bit thin.
Room was large and the bathroom while clean could do with a little up dating. A fridge would have been good as it was so hot. Room a/c worked well. Breakfast was adequate selection. Good location just off U4.

FinlandThe street construction work under our window was quite noisy early in the mornings. It did not bother later, because we were absent.
Good breakfast. Very polite staff there. The situation is perfect. Railway station in on the other side of street. Trams and metro near.

ItalyI've been definitely been very satisfied by my stay at Hotel Mozart. The position is strategic, you're not exactly in the city center (i.e. the first district) but the 9th is a great option for eating and shopping, outside of the more obvious tourist traps. In addition, the Hotel is very close to both U-bahn 4 line (Friedensbrucke) and the D tram line (Franz-Joseph Banhof) and you can get everywhere from these. Concerning the hotel, it is certainly old-fashioned but it has everything you may need for that price range (the wifi was definitely more than decent, and the bathroom is very spacious). Maybe, it is not well suited if you're travelling with small kids, but if it's a business travel or you're in Vienna with your spouse/companion, it is definitely worth a shot.

SpainThe location wasn't to my liking, but I took 2 metro lines to get to the central train station. But the worst was the pillows provided which were like a deflating balloon, you squeeze one part and it causes the opposite part to swell up, so when you put your head in the middle your head falls all the way down to the mattress with no head support whatsoever but the sides of the pillow swell up, very uncomfortable. I ended up sleeping on the harder sofa cushion which gave me better neck support although probably not as hygienic to sleep on as it is an unwashed sofa cushion. I suggest the hotel invest in new pillows that are firmer giving neck support, the kind you see at other hotels which are long but narrow like a rectangle.
I liked the hotel, just not their pillows.

United KingdomNo lock on the toilet. It was not sound proof, it was quite noisy outside - there was a construction on going. Only 1 lift and can be busy in the morning. The bed was 2 single bed connected together.
Very near OBB train station and near the Tram as well. Just a minute walk. Very spacious room and clean. It looks old but aesthetic. The staff are very nice and welcoming. The bar area is cozy. They allowed us to store our luggages when we checked out. Near the City Center.

GreeceThe double bed was actually two single beds put together with two small duvets that could barely cover us. Pretty low on amenities: just a very runny liquid soap and a hair dryer. Towels were not changed for the 7 days of our stay.
Great location, just outside city center, close to the tram and metro and some of the best local cafés, by the bank of the Danube canal. Very spacious and clean room and bathroom with sufficient closet space. The room temperature was always perfect. Daily cleanning service. The staff responded immediately and helped us with a flight cancellation problem to change the booking dates. Special thanks for that!
