How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Nothing to complain - any time again with pleasure!
The hotel staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful, and the room was amazing. Very quiet during night and within a few minutes walking distance from public transport. The breakfast buffet was huge, with enough space to not worry about it becoming overcrowded soon.

I really liked the staff, they were very helpful. I really liked the room, it is bery big and modern and comfortable. I liked that I had a coffee machine and coffe pods. And I really liked the soap ❤️🤣

It is situated near the city center and we did a great walk around in the evening. The breakfast was rich and really tasty. I personally needed a stool in the room, because of my stature and the staff at the reception was helpful. We would love to return if we have to come again to Vienna.

We had a lovely stay here. It was for our 1 year anniversary and the staff made it feel very special. Lovely hotel, lovely people, comfortable beds. Slightly out the centre but walkable. In a nice quiet area. Highly recommend.

Housekeeping took our second key card from the light switch on our first morning as well as one of our towels that we hadn’t left out for cleaning, but reception were quick to replace them both. Pillows were too soft also but that’s just personal preference.
Great location. Shops, restaurants and public transport all within walking distance. Less than a 10 minute walk to the city centre. Good selection for breakfast. Staff were very friendly and we were upgraded to a deluxe suite upon arrival which was a nice surprise.

We took a quick look at the breakfast and it didn't seem to be worth it for the price, but we didn't eat there so perhaps other people would like it. Other than that, we had no complaints.
This is a fantastic hotel, with wonderful staff, a clean and spacious room (at least the one we stayed in), and plenty of restaurant options in a wide range of price points. The location is a bit removed from the city center, but it didn't feel inconvenient, and there are many public transportation options (trains and bus stops) within a short walk.

The gym lacked dumb bells and was very hot (due to it's proximity to the sauna). The room wasn't completely dark at night with the drapes closed. Breakfast was quite costly.
The room was a good size and quiet with the windows closed. The location was central enough to get to trains quite easily, including the train to the airport which made it easy when it was time to depart. For runners, there are two parks to run in within a short distance (Augarten is smaller but very close and Prater is huge but farther away). Lots of dining options nearby. There is a sauna available (no charge).

Not always near train or bus lines we needed for tourist spots. Sometimes felt a bit out of the way.
Hotel staff were very friendly and told us of all facilities in hotel. We didn't get time to use sauna etc as out but hotel had a lot to offer, was clean, rooms a good size. We left a sentimental item in room and staff found it and helped ship it back to the UK so very thankful to them. Quiet area.

I thought the rooms were clean and nicely presented. Small details like folding toilet tissue and laying out towels nicely were appreciated. The staff were friendly and the relaxation area with sauna was amazing. Really very well done!!
