How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.

Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

It was slightly challenging to find the building entrance because the building is large and the signage is tucked in near a small entrance area.
The property has an excellent location inside the Ringstrasse and not far from the U-4 rapid transit line. The access was easy, the unit was clean, and the staff was sooner friendly. You can store your luggage at the office if you are leaving town after the checkout time.

The accommodation served its purpose. The impression upon entering the room was very positive for me. The room seemed clean, nice white curtains and gray drapes. The bed was comfortable. Nice bed linen. Shower and toilet clean. The TV worked. Plates, spoons, glasses, coffee maker and refrigerator available. A surprise was also mineral water in the refrigerator. The staff was helpful. Access codes worked. Excellent location. Grocery stores right next door. Tram and Ubahn 5 minutes walk. Great satisfaction.

Great and spacious room. Good shower. Comfortable bed. Super easy check in and quick. Bright rooms. Nice coffee machine in the room. They gave us a huge chocolate bunny and eggs for easter which was a nice touch.

The wardrobe is small for 3 people.
The hotel has a good location with fast and convenient access to the city center, metro and tram. The room was small cozy and well equipped and also very clean. The check in process and access to the room are very easy.

location was perfect! also loved how close it was to public transpo (metro and tram) for attractions slightly outside of the city center. room was spotless when we arrived. bed was on the firmer side but still comfortable. a/c was working perfectly.

Location, comfort, all was perfect. The best was the peace of mind of having easy message contact with host, super nice meeting us and giving us useful advice.

Lack of baggage storage facilities on departure day would have been a great addition given that checkout is at 11am (as my flight was later in the day).
The location is excellent, central, albeit out of the noisy main streets, close to Stephansplatz. The proximity to public transport and airport bus were great. The room and bathroom are clean and comfortable. Checking in was easy and straight forward.

Lovely stay in a super property right in the heart of the city. Spacious room with lots of windows and city views. Location was great. Beds comfortable. Clean. Supplied us with water and coffee capsules daily. Provided extra blankets and pillows when requested. Self Check in instructions were clear and smooth. Stored our luggage after check out. All in all it was a perfect happy stay. No regrets!

There was a slight smell in the bathroom - this had nothing to do with the cleanliness of the property though The mattress was very soft although this is just my personal preference

Apartment is very small but big enough for one or two people. The walls are thin so you can hear people talking in the hall and you can also hear some street noise.
This property is an excellent location close to downtown and the code entry to the building at the apartment is very convenient. The bed was comfortable and everything worked fine. It was nice that house keeping came daily to check on things and offer clean towels and bedding.
