Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

ItalyStaff was difficult to contact. AIR CONDITIONING NOT WORKING made the room facing afternoon sun a real sauna.
Location was good, breakfast decent, room acceptable.

United KingdomSome of the corridors smelt like sewage. There was hardly anyone ever at reception. The lights didn't work in the toilet, so you had to use your phone light. The air conditioning system was rubbish.
The veiw out of my window was amazing. The rooms were kept clean and tidy, the beds were made and fresh towels delivered daily.

United KingdomRooms not made up on arrival, dirty bedding on the beds etc. Beds not made up as requested - requested twins and got doubles. We had to split and remake the beds ourselves. Breakfast was supposed to be from 8 - staff strolled in at 8:20. All ok if on own but as a large group not ideal! Communal areas dirty , dusty and need a lick of paint. Kitchen and breakfast room was very dirty.
The location is about the only thing going for the hotel. We have stayed multiple times over that past few years and we return because of the location.

NetherlandsNo reception when we arrived. Key cards with our name and room number were just displayed on the counter. That was a security risk. We could here various noises (footsteps, furniture / doors being banged even past midnight). Generally, cleanliness of room including walls and floors could be improved more.
Location was good.

United KingdomIt's a pretty decent hotel, but at that price point. I paid 366 euro for two nights it's just not good enough. It feels more like a hostel than a hotel. There's nothing wrong with it, it's just not worth the money.

The location is close to the center so it is easy to walk. Also the hotel is next to a large public parking.

United StatesThe room was very small. The room was a little tired. No one was ever at reception. Our room key was sitting out with a dozen others waiting for us at check in so no problem there. When we needed more towels we called the number and they said we had to go down to the front lobby and towels were available in a cabinet.
The location was fantastic! And garage parking right across the street so very accessible.

Netherlands-There was no one in the reception. Very difficult communication (phone number not available… They didn’t reply to our msg) - it was raining in the bathroom; water pressure was very low. - there was nothing to drink (water, coffee or tea). - the towels weren’t changed. - very expensive for the hotel and room conditions. - no parking
Location. Bed comfortable. We could leave our luggage for a couple of hours after check out. Pets allowed.

excellent location and good value but lack of staff on reception made it a little tricky at times as room keys failed to work on arrival. No communal area for example a bar to relax in. Hotel says it's "boutique" but decor in corridors and rooms was a little tired.

United KingdomIt would have been better if someone was on reception when I checked in. It wasn't a particular problem, but set hours would be preferable in case there were any issues.
Although my room was at the front looking over the main square, it was pretty quiet and I had no trouble sleeping. The room was fairly standard and clean. It was a very convienant location for exploring the city.

United KingdomIt was a little strange - no one on the desk, just keys left there - including the master key! Didn't feel very secure in that respect and it would have been nice to be checked in by a person we could talk to. It was also very noisy from outside and in the morning. Cleanliness was okay but could definitely be improved.
The location for the old town is perfect. Easy walking distance to lovely shops, restaurants etc. And a short walk from a big and relatively cheap car park too, which made travelling nice and easy. The rooms were okay, shower was nice and hot.

CanadaWhen we arrived we were not met by anyone, no communication. Room we were assigned to was a used room and was dirty but once we finally got ahold of someone we were given a clean room. Breakfast was just so-so, no variety and the cleanliness of the breakfast room and equipment was questionable. Reception/ hotel representation was only present for a couple of hours in morning after 8 am.
Location was excellent with only short walk to train and to old town.

United KingdomThe lights are all on timers and they go out after a very short time. This needs to be extended, or you end up in darkness in the bathroom!
I read the reviews for this property and was expecting there to be problems on check in but there weren't. The reception was unmanned, but the host answered the phone straight away and the key had been left for us on the reception desk. The location of this property for the price is fantastic.
