How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Loft/ studio entry codes were long and difficult to remember… my spouse was annoyed that the toilet room did not have a toilet paper dispenser nor a place to put his phone…

The bathroom layout was very odd. Toilet in one cubicle. Shower in another. And the sink standing in the middle of the floor with no counter space and no mirror. David, ‘everyone knows’a woman needs a mirror at the sink.
Very comfortable bed in a big clean room with a full kitchen. AC worked well and was quiet. Very quiet hotel. We never heard a sound while staying. It’s a few steps to rue St Paul in the old city.

Microwave is placed oddly on a low shelf. Removing hot beverages is precarious.
We adored the space, the layout, the washer-dryer, the coffee maker, the lighting, Alexa was a pleasant surprise. The design is thoughtful for the old building and for traveller’s needs!

The addition of some shear curtains might add some privacy to the open en-suite arrangement. Whilst there was a padded bench a couch would have provided some more space to relax.
A really modern fit out in an older building. The kitchen was large and was well equipped. The appliances, including the washer and dryer were top quality. Plenty of space

Shower door is transparent so can see the other person bathing.
David hotel was fantastic and in a great location. The rooms are spacious and modern. The kitchen is fully equipped with a big island table. Beds are comfortable. There is also a washing machine and dryer with laundry pod provided. Pictures are fairly accurate. Really enjoyed the stay here. They have luggage storage on certain days so do check w them. I arrived on Sat and used bounce luggage which was nearby and opened early. Phayssal from Simplissimo was super great and helpful.

As others have noted, shower design (without door & visible to room) is just plain silly - gets cold in shower even with hot water on. And shower water temp is not hot enough. Bed sheets were a bit rough.
Washer & dryer in room, full kitchen, nespresso (with 4 complimentary pods). Bed was large & mattress very comfortable. Location in old town is excellent, near subway & underground paths.

Toilet facilities were too basic- just shampoo, conditioner, body wash and extremely thin ply toilet paper (honestly, it was so thin, it didnt do anything and was gross). Also, the shower cabin didnt have the door and was just glass! So hard if you’re travelling with a friend.
Location was great. Its newly built, very modern, apartment style with fully functional kitchen

Excellent location. Well appointed loft. Great for longer stays and food preparation, but also close to many cafes and restaurants. Comfortable bed. On line check in and out communication was excellent.

Having to leave.
when we come to Montreal, this has been our place to stay as you are within walking distance to everything. The hotel itself is exceptional, staff are always great...we love it.

Some things aren’t intuitive but if you read the guide, it’s all fine.
Once you make an effort to read the on-line guide, things are really good. Location is really good and the lofts include most of the amenities you would probably want.

It was strange having no face to face interaction at any time during my stay. Luckily I had no issues to deal with.
The hotel room was beautiful and exceeded my expectations. The attention to detail in the lighting and branding was superb. Kitchen facilities were great.

Hotel provided extensive troubleshooting guide but took 24 hr to respond to my request about tissues. Hotel did not provide tissues, which is a routine amenity at many other hotels.
Great space and amenities for the price. Excellent location in old montreal.
