“Hotel Beaulac is a typical large city hotel in a good, central location on the lakes edge. Our lake view room was well sized, clean and thankfully air conditioned because it was very hot during our stay. Although we had a lake facing room the view of the lake was obstructed unless we stood right next to the window due to a concrete facade which was about a metre away from the actual building. Our first floor room also had a "view" of a flat sheet metal roof which was very unattractive so would suggest asking for a room on one of the higher floors. Hotel parking is limited but there is a public car park very close by. If you are arriving by train you will need to take a taxi as the station is too far from the hotel if you have luggage. The staff were friendly, the breakfast was plentiful and more than adequate. We did not use any of the other facilities except for a drink at the the rooftop bar which had a lovely view of the lake in the evening.”
