The noise from the tram outside early in the morning was a bit annoying - but it’s the price you pay for being in central Basel.

Location near the station is great, plenty of food options both restaurants and shops nearby. Price was reasonable considering it’s Switzerland.

The bathrooms are very average but the building was renovated from an old factory or something so maybe this is why. The two staff members I met were quite odd and didn't seem to have great social skills. Their English proficiency was fine. There aren't many affordable places to eat nearby. The bathrooms were very average, dark and dingy. They need better curtains and more/ bigger fans or air conditioning in the rooms as it got quite hot in the evenings.

The bed was a double! And this was standard for most of the best in the share room of 6-8. This was a very nice surprise. They also give you a public transport card which is a huge bonus. Fairly affordable. Decent location and nice outside seating area.

There were only mixed dorms left when we booked (very last minute), i don’t know if there were ever all-female dorms.

Cozy atmosphere, facilities convenient and close to each other, personal touch to signs and clear instructions:) Felt safe despite first time sleeping in dorms.

I was given a small duvet although I had a double bed. The humidity smell in the room when I checked in, after opening the window all afternoon it was fine.

Good location, close to the tramway going downtown, Aldi and other supermarkets. Check-in was easy even if you arrive before the room is ready. Great price for Basel.

It wasn't as clean as I'd expect (found some hair on shelves near the bed). It gets really hot without AC, I was able to use the fan in the evening but there was only one outlet, so I could either use fan or charge my phone. 15 mins walking from the railway station, which is not too bad but there is no transport.

Very nice bathroom with big plants, the room was fairly big.

The stay was close to the train station and supermarkets. I also slept in a 2 persons bed so i had enough space.

Friendly staff and easy check in+ check out. Loved being able to try Unser Bier (from the local indi brewery next door) + the first one was on the house! Great location, would stay again.

It’s an old building so the shower I used didn’t have sufficient drainage and the whole floor filled up with water to the ankles :/

Wifi strength could have been better. Would be great if they had 24/7 reception, or at least until 12am

Staff there was absolutely amazing and go above and beyond! I arrived late to Basel but the receptionist contacted me and stayed back to ensure I was able to check in and settle me in before closing up. All the staff have been very friendly and tried their best to accomodate!

The location isn't central, but right next to the tram stop so getting to the city center doesn't take too long.

Nice rooms and the common space in the hostel + a terrace in front. Free filter coffee in the morning. Very helpful and friendly staff. Common bathrooms were always clean.
