Quiet part of town with a hipster vibe which was nice! The free public transportation cards we got on arrival were perfect and put to good use. Pretty close to the train station and a couple of food stores.

The beds are large and comfortable. The hostel is in a cozy area just a short walk from the central station. You also get a ”basel pass” which gives you free public transport and 50% off tons of museums. its a great deal

We like the lack of complications with this hostel. Easy walking distance to the city center. Plus the room included the Basel City Card. Free public transit and half off at city museums. We would love to visit Basel again and stay here. It is a propert with a great story.

Stayed here for 2 night during my travel from Interlaken to Milan. It was pleasent stay at Basel backpack, near to Basel SBB. They have a community kitchen. Rooms are spacious and bathroom are clean. Value for money. Recommend it

No air conditioning. So when it's 30°C+ outside plus 7 others in a room the room was too hot too sleep comfortably.

We don't have towels so better bring, the boy on the reception wasn't there when i notice it to ask him and the next days i was going out early and coming back late. Rooms need a little bit renovation compared to Youth hostel basel and you have 4 x double beds(8 persons) in around 3 m x 6 m rooms size.

I have spent 2 nights in the property. The boy on the reception has been polite give me without deposit Switzerland electricity connector for my stay. You have 2 common rooms downstairs and the rest are upstairs , where there is kitchen area, toilets and bathrooms. Next to the property there is a bus stop for number 15 which can bring you to old center, otherwise it is not so close. Railway station is around 1 km from the property but you have more walking to old center. Lockers don't need coins you have a key for them.

Friendly and informative staffs. Added advantage is the location. 10 mins by walk to the train station, 30 mins by bus to the airport. The place was very clean.

There was a big spider on the wall when we arrived at night... I guess I could have found someone at the reception to deal with it during the day.

The staff are nice, and I got a response in a short while when I asked about late check-in. The location is great, close to the central train station.

The hostel is located in a neat, remodeled old-fabrik complex with cafe, art studios and culture events. Staffs were very friendly. Showers and washrooms were pretty clean. With buses and trams, it's easy to reach various locations in the city.

The Hostel was great. Near the railwaystation,, Bar, Restaurant and the Tram Stop. The receptionist is very helpful.

The instructions for opening the (orange) door need to be a little clearer, i.e. turn the lock knob to open NOT the handle knob. All of us struggled to open the door.

The mattress was comfortable; so many hostels have thin mattresses, that's just cruel. So I slept fine. The showers had lovely hot water. Really appreciated that the management were relaxed about when to check in. Thanks. And what a nice environment generally. Didn't stay long enough to use the bar. But the kitchen was well equipped. Oh, and the location was good with tram 15 right to the door.

Kitchen is not clean well. Should be maintained regularly. Lights in the hallway are quite dark.

It’s near the central station. The room is very similar to the pictures they posted. They have common areas such as kitchen. Staffs were accommodating and friendly.

Had to pay an extra 4CH during check-in for taxes. Noise outside when sleeping but that's not their fault. I feel like the showers could use some more lighting. It would be nice if they had a regular soap dispenser in the bathroom instead of the old school bar soap.

It's a 10-15min walk to the main train station. There's a common area and a kitchen. Check-in was pretty quick. The facilities were clean. Had an outlet by my bed, didn't use it so idk if it worked though. The bunk beds were quite high leaving more space separate from the other person.

I thought the bathrooms, room could have been a bit cleaner and appropriate bedding on the bed, but overall it was great. Great location!

I remember the bed didn't have the appropriate bedding on it but the front desk was really helpful and the duvets were really nice. Had a good night's sleep!
